I think the combination of the FB disaster in Fargo and the debacle that night in REA was too much for a lot of people.

The new facilities coming online soon will help in this area. But the question is, will the coaching staff get the most out of them? And will they know how to use them?

Good point, but I think the ultimate decision-maker is Armacost. If the President of UND made a commitment to excellence in athletics and held Chaves and the coaches accountable for their performance (or lack thereof), I think you would see some positive changes.

I get what you are saying, but that means in order to induce change at the top of the FB program, the die-hard and loyal supporters need to stop going to games? I am all for making sacrifices that will pay off in the future, but it is insane that it comes to that.

And hockey didn't exactly light the world on fire last night either.

This isn't LSSU or Northern Michigan. We don't "temper expectations" here, we rise to meet them. This whole athletic department "tempers expectations" across the board, which is why we underachive in everything.

And yet, we keep giving him contract extensions. How long are we supposed to wait for this program to "turn the corner"?

So as long as we çan beat everyone else, you don't mind losing to the xDSUs? If our goal as a program isn’t to compete for and win FCS titles, we aren't doing it right. You are making @UND-FB-FAN's point. Enough of the excuses and alibis.

The complaints center on the unforced errors and lack of energy/urgency.

If they do lose this game, I hope it royally pi$$es them off and lights a fire under them. But no, losing this game (even if it technically doesn't count) would not be acceptable at all.
