  1. But Berry was an assistant under Hakstol who was involved in recruiting a lot of those players.
  2. We have to remember that Berry DID take us to the NCAA title in 2016. So he has proven it can happen under his watch. And I think we'll get back there sooner rather than later.
  3. Nobody is "belittling" the Penrose. I am glad we will hang another white banner. But the standard at UND is NCAA titles. I think that is why we attract so many quality athletes and players; people want to be part of something special.
  4. Good points. Doesn't make last night hurt any less though.
  5. The committee wanted an All-B1G Frozen Four. As I predicted, the committee has ended up being disappointed. #B1Gsucks
  6. UMass has looked good in the tournament.
  7. We have had way too many of those over the past 20 years, considering the talent that has come through this program during that time. And if Duluth wins it again, you can throw out the tired old "parity" argument.
  8. People are tired of postseason stumbles. It just wears on fans after awhile. I don't think you are the only one.
  9. Exactly. The standard in Grand Forks is NCAA titles. Nobody remembers who makes the tournament and bows out early. Having said that, it is premature to start calling for a change at the top. I think Berry will reload and get us back to the top of the mountain again.
  10. I have already decided not to watch the Frozen Four. Tired of watching other teams win titles. And no cheering for Duluth, I hope they lose to UMass.
  11. You can congratulate them, I for one am sick of them. I hope they lose 6-0 to UMass. Duluth is proving that parity is a myth.
  12. While I am a little tired of playing second-fiddle to other programs (first Boston College, now Duluth), talk of replacing Berry is pre-mature. Duluth isn't going to win titles forever, nobody does.
  13. Why are you talking like we are a marginal program that is not capable of reloading? Cripes, you are talking like we will finish at the bottom of the league next year. Things aren't THAT bad.
  14. I don't think this was an example of an interior team beating a much better team. Both teams were/are solid with few real weaknesses.
  15. It is up to the athletes themselves whether to come back or not.
  16. Probably alcohol.
  17. Umass looks like a solid, all-around team playing well at the right time, like us in 2016. Duluth is far from a shoo-in in Pittsburgh.
  18. It is okay to feel bad about last night. That is part of fandom. Thrill of victory and agony of defeat. We'll be back, no need to jump into doom and gloom mode about the future. The program will be fine.
  19. Sandy didn't do so great his first 10 years in Duluth and a few years after the 2011 title. It just seems like he's been winning titles forever.
  20. Time to get the "Thank you Seniors" and "2021-22 Season" threads ready.
  21. Please stop bringing that up.
  22. Not really the same thing, but I understand what you are saying.
  23. Teams play back-to-back games all season. And last night wasn't that grueling. I think we should have enough in the tank tonight.
  24. Well, that screws up my bracket.
