  1. It makes about a much sense as taking out a pitcher in the 8th Inning who has a no-hitter going because some chart says so.
  2. Was that an example of the "analytics" that are taking over almost all team sports?
  3. You realize they test for drugs now, right? If Judge was juicing, he would get caught and suspended for a long time. The steroid era in MLB is over and has been for about 10 years. PS: For the record, it's WWE now (has been for 20 years). And AEW is way better.
  4. How big of a sample size do you need? This program is 100% Bubba's now. And the same problems are still there. I used to defend Bubba on here all the time. Now I am not sure he is the long-term solution. Any up and coming athletes from Detroit Lakes we should watch out for? We need all the help we can get.
  5. You realize that we play indoors and practice indoors? And people think I'm negative on here! Cripes!
  6. As long as he isn't on PEDs, I have no problem with him. The Yankees on the other hand.....
  7. Now that's an intriguing idea.
  8. So we just give up? Quitters never win and winners never quit.
  9. EM told us on the radio. In so many words. And if you really believe you would get a better explanation from someone at the Alerus Center or UND, you are kidding yourself. They'll give you a version of the same talking points we were given on the radio. That is how you dodge a difficult question you don't want to answer. It's Politics 101.
  10. Careful, you may get scolded by @jdub27.
  11. Homecoming is next weekend.
  12. I wondered how long it would take you to call me out for expressing an opinion you don't like. It's one of your favorite hobbies. Anyway, back to the topic at hand......... He basically said if you don't like it, pay the money so you can sit there. I know how to read between the lines and I know what a crock of horse$%!@ is when I see it, hear it and smell it. He also said it isn't changing, so they are obviously not responding to the empty seats. Btw, this is Year 2 of this failed experiment. You know what the definition of insanity is, right? If the real reason is safety of the spectators, then just come out and say it. Don't talk to people like they are stupid. As I said, this is something you try after you sell out your home games. Not before.
  13. We tried that. We were basically told to pay up or shut up.
  14. REA ushers are in charge of this?
  15. @gfhockey isn't always wrong. On this issue, he makes sense.
  16. Another example of UND not updating web sites and announcing changes. It really is beneath this institution of ours.
  17. Didn't they use most of that money on those glow-in-the-dark basketball uniforms?
  18. If you think this whole idea is "sol-id", just come out and say it. The worst part isn't the idea though, its the arrogance of the people in charge (if you don't like it, pay the money and sit there). Last time I checked, consumers purchase what they want; they don't do what the merchants tell them to do. This arrogant attitude won't help them fill those seats. Yes, I can and will blame them for doing this. This is something you do when you are selling out the arena for every home game. But we are not there yet, for any number of reasons, so the idea is idiotic. It is clear that it isn't working. And as long as people can walk up to the box office on game day and buy a ticket, it will continue to not work. And no amount of scolding and preaching from the suits (pay up and shut up) will change that. This is one example of how out-of-touch these people are and it does no favors for our programs. FULL DISCLOSURE: I never stood there and watched games (I prefer sitting my butt down for the game), but I think the people that did have a legitimate gripe about this.
  19. But Lennon hasn't been there for awhile now.
  20. Don't give them any ideas.
  21. The arrogance of telling people that if you don't like it, buy a ticket to sit there is astounding. If they think scolding us like ill-behaved school children is going to get people to pony up the cash, they are in for a nasty surprise. They can keep pushing this, but I think the people have spoken with their wallets.
