  1. Here is where we sit as of right now for ticket availability for the Bison game.
  2. Fighting Hawks looking really good by comparison!!
  3. Got a chance to go to practice today. Here were some of the main things I noticed: 1. Tommy Schuster is going to be the starter this year. Other QB’s on roster are good, but Tommy looks the best. 2. Romfo looks like he’s going to be good, but man he looks so small out there. Even shorter than Tommy!! 3. Continuing with QB’s, I was really impressed with Feeney. Throws a great ball. Especially deep ball. Our depth at QB is the deepest We have had in years. Will be interesting to see how they use Quincy this year as well. 4. Boltman is as close to 100% as he has probably been in a long time. I think he starts week one. No question. 5. Waletzko is a beast. He is so big and so strong and so goon. Definitely deserving of his preseason accolades. 6. Stating the obvious, but Otis is a stud. Kid has tree trunks for legs!! So strong and so fast. And he is having the most fun out of any guy out there. He’s gonna be fun to watch. (Side note, also a really nice guy. My son really wanted to meet him after and he was nice enough to talk to him and take a picture. My son definitely has a new favorite player)
  4. US is 5 behind China in gold medals. US plays for the gold in women's water polo, baseball, men's basketball, and women's basketball. Not sure about other sports. So gonna be close.
  5. The 2 Covino brothers who own Seaquest have been nailed several times smuggling and poaching animals. Specifically sharks. One has been banned by a federal judge from ever dealing with animals again. One had emails leaked after physically threatening harm to employees who reported animal abuse to authorities. Most recently they got nailed in Florida for illegally catching and smuggling endangered sharks out. There are also several stories of charges they have faces at their facilities for animal neglect and cruelty. All this info isn't conspiracy. Quick google search of these guys will tell you all you need to know. The fact that the majority of the City Council thinks it would be a good idea to bring these guys into our city to open a facility that will likely have these same issues is beyond irresponsible.
  6. Expedition League looking for input on naming Grand Forks team https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/baseball/7136583-Expedition-League-looking-for-input-on-naming-Grand-Forks-team "League officials ask those interested in submitting suggestions for a new team name to email grandforks2022@gmail.com." So......will they consider all names submitted? Like, I don't know, names used by sports team in Grand Forks in the past.....
  7. I mean, It's not horrible!!
  8. Things are definitely back to normal now. Siouxsports threads are talking about nicknames and logos again!!
  9. Also, what's it gonna take to get a UND hockey jersey on the Statue of Liberty?!!
  10. Would be great to see pregame festivities like they had at the Orleans in the plaza in front of T Mobile.
  11. I think that if you don't have a Champions club membership, and you are online the morning they go on sale to the general public, you shouldn't have problem getting tickets. But, if you want to pretty much guarantee you get tickets, and get better seats, why not pay the $200 for a membership. You could piss away 200 bucks in 10 minutes in Vegas. At least this way you are getting something in return!!
  12. With a successful expansion draft and playing in a division where 5 of the other 7 teams in the Pacific division finished with a losing record, Seattle should have a good chance of being a pretty decent team next year. Great spot for Hak to step into.
  13. Shirts to support Evan Trupp available at Sioux Shop https://fightinghawks.com/news/2021/6/1/mens-hockey-shirts-to-support-evan-trupp-available-at-sioux-shop.aspx "North Dakota Athletics and Ralph Engelstad Arena have partnered to release shirts in support of former North Dakota hockey player Evan Trupp and his battle with Hodgkin's Lymphoma." The link to the Sioux Shop page isn't working for me from the articel, so here is the link to the shirt they are selling. https://siouxshop.com/UNIVERSITY-OF-NORTH-DAKOTA-FIGHTING-SIOUX-EVAN-TRUPP-%2319-PLAYER-TEE-DLC0139SML-7505/
  14. Hmmm. Sounds familiar!!
  15. Yeah that game will be a tough one. Will probably only win 44-17 this next time!!
  16. FCS: Top 10 Way-Too-Early Favorites To Win The 2021 National Title https://herosports.com/fcs-football-favorites-win-2021-national-title-bzbz/ Wow. Was expecting we would get a little bit more respect after beating SDSU, claiming a share of the MVFC, winning a playoff game, and finishing the season ranked #6 int he country. Not to mention returning a Payton and Rice award finalists at RB and QB. But hey, that's fine by me. We stayed under the radar last year and lloked what happened. Kept doubting this team. Only serves as motivation.

That is a slippery slope. For me, I never ran into that problem. I was like, 'What can I become?'"
  18. Ha!! Right!! Wasn't really surprised by the response. Go check for us!!

  20. "The Classes of 2020 and 2021 will both be recognized the following day during halftime of UND football's big rivalry game against North Dakota State at the Alerus Center." "Mooney is best known for his forced fumble and return for a touchdown that helped North Dakota end a 12-game losing streak to North Dakota State, thus beginning the shifting of balance of power in NCAA Division II and the North Central Conference." Maybe Mooney can do it again by being in attendance of the Oct 2nd game this year that will help end the losing streak to the Bison and shift the balance of power in the FCS and in the MVFC!!
