  1. A little weird to see Quincy out there at Tight End!! Will be fun to see how Danny uses him this year. With Quincy, Bo, Luke, Red, and Elijah out there with Tommy slinging in around, our offense should be pretty fun to watch. Now just figure out the defense!
  2. I talked to him during the autograph session on the field after. Said he had a collision with someone in practice yesterday. Initially thought it could be concussion. Sitting out as a precaution. He seemed just fine.
  3. Red in street clothes. Not sure why.
  4. Pretty good crowd. Most seats are full. Doing some plays with offense and defense out there.
  5. Maag running some routes. IMG_2720.MOV IMG_2721.MOV
  6. Hearing from someone who was there that the Niners, Browns, Vikings, Packers, Raiders, Chiefs, Bucs, and Blue Bombers were all there. Might be a few more.
  7. Warroad Warriors........the end is inevitable. In Warroad, concern mounts over Minnesota bills prohibiting the use of American Indian nicknames https://www.grandforksherald.com/news/minnesota/in-warroad-concern-mounts-over-minnesota-bills-prohibiting-the-use-of-american-indian-nicknames
  8. Tha being said.......I would like to see that same script to not just display "North Dakota" but also "Fighting Hawks" as well
  9. The Athletic department has done a great job at making a standard look for it's athletic teams. Tthe "North Dakota" script is unique to UND and is deffinitely recognizable.
  10. I'll give you 57,165 reasons why the Summit League isn't leaving Sioux Falls. https://www.keloland.com/keloland-com-original/57165-attend-expanded-summit-league-tournament/
  11. Big 10 has their tournament at one site. Because it works much better logistically for every team to be at one site. If you are meaning like the B1G hockey tournament, they aren't going to spread a basketball tournament with 10 teams over 3 weekends. This is the dumbest poll I have seen on this site.
  12. If by "successfull" he means: - A record of 214-265-50 - Conference standings each year: 7th, 8th, 8th, 7th, 6th, 8th, 4th, 3rd, 2nd, 3rd, 3rd, 4th, and 4th - 5 seasons (out of 15 total) team finished season with single digit wins (including a season where they went 0-27-1 in conference - Confernce tournament record of 9-13 - NCAA tournament reocord of 0-2 - ZERO Conference Championships - ZERO Conference Tournament Championships - ZERO NCAA Tournament wins - ZERO NCAA Tournament Champsionships .....then I guess he is dead on!!
  13. From the article: "Robert Morris cut its men's and women's programs in May 2021 just months after the school hosted the men's Frozen Four. In December 2021, the school announced both programs would be reinstated for the 2023-24 season thanks to fundraising efforts. Alaska Anchorage had its hockey program, along with other sports, cut in September 2020, but the team was reinstated in August 2021 following a grassroots $3 million fundraising campaign in which the NHL's Seattle Kraken were involved." Was there any "grassroots fundraising campaign" to keep the UND womens hockey program?!! Did anyone donate to save the program?
  14. https://www.uscho.com/stats/attendance/division-i-women/ Average attendance for all but 3 schools this last season for womens college hockey was less than 1000. Two thirds of all womesn programs averaged less than 500. And I can gaurantee the average ticket price is in the single digits. Womens College hockey is not as popular and in demand as some portray it to be.
  15. The article did bring up a good point. When considering adding womens hockey, or any sport, there are two big things a University must consider. Cost and demand. Demand is something that is probabl not as important. I mean, is there a big following for golf and tennis at Universities (mens or womens)across the country? Not really. But they don't cost alot to have. One thing the Lammy Twins and the UND womens hockey aplogists stillfail to answer is how the University gets aroud the enormous cost to run just the 1 program. "Well, the mesn program can pay for it.". Yeah cause thats sustainable. If the demand for womens hockey at UND or anywhere else that may be looking to add it was even average, you could justify the cost to sustain it. But it's simply not there. So UNd and other Universities aren't going to burden their budget for a sport that is a drain on the Athletic Department.
  16. Maybe we need to be the poachers and the the team that gets poached in regards to the transfer portal!!
  17. Maybe we will see Wentz back in green and yellow!!
  18. Want toknow what is going to get recruits to come to UND in 2023 and moving forward? I'll give you a hint.... N I L
  19. We need to get back to the days where we were losing in the Frozen Four semifinals instead of just winning conference titles, a playoff title and a Natty!
  20. Should have just renovated the Old Ralph and raised the roof for upper deck seating. Same thing with the Union. Could have just slapped some fresh paint and got new carpet in the basemant and it would have looked fin. The thing is, new students don't care about what buildings were on campus 30 years ago. They care about the buildings they will be spending their time in over the next 4 years. UND campus looks great now with the new buildings. And that is what attracts new students. In a world of declining college enrollment, Universities need to make steps like this to get students to come there.
  21. Demolition of UND’s Hyslop Sports Center slated for summer 2024 https://www.grandforksherald.com/news/local/demolition-of-unds-hyslop-sports-center-slated-for-summer-2024
