  1. I don’t know the exact probabilities, but I know to eventually make a trip to Frisco to support UND in the Natty, UND needs to start beating the big boys. Day by Day - starts tomorrow in Boise. I’ll be there cheering the boys on, as per usual.
  2. Last year, Nebraska had its worst team in the last 50 years. No excuses - UND should have won last year. I think Boise State is a better team than last year’s Nebraska, but as you said, thankfully UND is better, also.
  3. Well, I’d argue that you don’t need to see the entire script to know how it will end. That oftentimes is how football, sports, and life works, actually. Things are at times predictable. Not sure what life you’ve been living. I guess a far more unpredictable and exciting one than my own. If you take a 100 mile trip, you don’t have to complete the entire trip in order to have a reasonable idea what the finality will look like. If the first 70 miles was all desert, the last 30 has a fair probability to also be that. It’s about probability, not possibility, and yet some on here continue to side with minimalistic chance just for the sake of arguing.
  4. To be fair, we need to play a near perfect game to beat SDSU and NDSU, also. This is minimally different, other than the larger crowd, blue turf, FBS vs FCS, blah, blah, blah… don’t get caught up in all that hype. It is still football. 11 vs 11. Team that best takes care of the ball and is most physically and mentally prepared will win.
  5. Fans are, in fact, fanatic, at times …
  6. A+ moderation right here, folks. Take notes.
  7. You’re already hedging that UND can’t beat 2 of these 3: Boise, SDSU, NDSU. You’re sandbagging and lowering expectations to only winning 1 of the 3. I don’t think those results are going to get UND to the next tier. Just the honest to God truth. As such, need to aim higher. Beat Boise. Beat SDSU. Beat ag school. Can’t beat all 3, fine, okay. Cant beat 2 of the 3, then we have problems.
  8. “Champions behave like champions before they are champions; they have a winning standard of performance before they are winners.” - Bill Walsh
  9. Oh good lord …. The game will happen regardless. And it’s not about just you / old timers, it about appealing to all potential UND fans / supporters. Get the young and old alike hyped for kickoff
  10. Inflatable helmet was worn beyond repair. There wasn’t an intentional decision to remove it. The tunnel walk / player entrance - however - still needs to be enhanced. Obvious how to do it (see Nebraska, NDSU, etc.) just need UND to implement it.
  11. You’re being reasonable, but having confidence and swagger is never reasonable. Gotta will this thing to the finish line …
  12. Crazy how atrocious uniforms are nowadays. UND / Adidas has been struggling a bit. I think most are content with black and white uniform sets, but how can you botch the Kelly green ones? Need a new set that matches the all blacks better … although I’m not as sour on the current green ones as some. Just need them to be solid… no white shoulders. of course, next up …. Classics with throwback gray helmets …??
  13. Man, this sure derailed. Some are clueless… But well, whatever floats your boat perception is reality
  14. Any prediction other than a UND win is unacceptable. Going to be tough, Boise has good players (especially their running back), but no reason UND can’t pull the upset. Go Hawks! I’m looking forward to this road trip.
  15. This is a bull$hit take. Win the fuckin game, and then go down to Brookings and beat them. Go Hawks
  16. I agree with his assessment. Have said that the entire time: see previous posts. UND needs win vs Boise and/or SDSU. Going 2-2 ain’t going to add up to sh*t in the end.
  17. Agree. Boise State RB scares me in this one. Danny Freund and Tommy Schuster need to be masterful, but honestly, the offensive line for UND needs to show up and win in the trenches if UND comes away with the win.
  18. Me too, me too. Hopefully it starts this Saturday in Boise.
  19. both
  20. Oh boy …
  21. Having his brother already at UND and a potential win vs the ag school this year could help …
  22. I have to imagine this is a work in progress. I will investigate (i.e., ask).
  23. You’re not wrong, but these are the kind of comments that are borderline and ingrained in us from the past DI mediocrity of UND FB. I would argue a win on the blue turf could make our season. You don’t think that would give UND the confidence that they can go down to Brookings and beat #1? I think many of you underestimate the importance of confidence and the mental makeup of a team. With all that said, the season is not over if UND loses to Boise; they still could go down to SDSU and win, but, why not win them both?! I still say UND needs to beat either Boise or SDSU in order to make major news this season. Again, get the program better, not stay the status quo.
  24. Absolutely. He’s tremendous. But it’s also a huge blessing that there are so many other play-makers around Bo: doesn’t allow the defense to focus too heavily on him. Gotta love the job Danny Freund is doing with this offense - great leader, also.
