  1. both
  2. Oh boy …
  3. Having his brother already at UND and a potential win vs the ag school this year could help …
  4. I have to imagine this is a work in progress. I will investigate (i.e., ask).
  5. You’re not wrong, but these are the kind of comments that are borderline and ingrained in us from the past DI mediocrity of UND FB. I would argue a win on the blue turf could make our season. You don’t think that would give UND the confidence that they can go down to Brookings and beat #1? I think many of you underestimate the importance of confidence and the mental makeup of a team. With all that said, the season is not over if UND loses to Boise; they still could go down to SDSU and win, but, why not win them both?! I still say UND needs to beat either Boise or SDSU in order to make major news this season. Again, get the program better, not stay the status quo.
  6. Absolutely. He’s tremendous. But it’s also a huge blessing that there are so many other play-makers around Bo: doesn’t allow the defense to focus too heavily on him. Gotta love the job Danny Freund is doing with this offense - great leader, also.
  7. You’re clueless. Want my usual rant? Okay, here you go: You support the status quo and apparently don’t understand the difference being wanting something and actually believing you can get it done. Hence, focus and confidence. If Bubba and his staff do what this board wants, they would go into this game thinking they don’t have a chance. “It won’t make or break our season” Nodak “lip service” 78 … haha. Go check yourself into a nursing home.
  8. What the hell are you talking about? 24 hour rule … time to move on to next opponent. Business trips require focus. Sure hope this post is just slander …
  9. It was rough early on but he improved as game went on.
  10. We’ll learn a lot about this team on Saturday. Great opportunity in front of this team playing against a team that is certainly not invincible. I’m looking forward to it- hope Bubba, his coaches, and his players are really laser-focused and ready to go. Play a full 4 quarter game. No 4th quarter mishaps like at Nebraska last year
  11. Agree. NDSU, Nebraska, several others do excellent job of tunnel walk. Nebraska is really the innovator of this. NDSU (and most others) took it from UN-L. https://huskers.com/news/2019/09/13/huskers-famed-tunnel-walk-celebrates-25-years UND continuing to ignore tunnel walk opportunity is completely foolish. Hopefully it eventually gets done.
  12. There always was an opportunity to beat Boise on a big stage. Boise starting 0-2 or UND starting 2-0 doesn’t change that. Come out well-prepared with confidence and get it done. Want to build the program and take the next step? A win in Boise will help big-time.
  13. He’s not gonna pass Tommy, but too early to say he won’t pass Feeney.
  14. IMO helmet would be pointless. It’s about building suspense via timing and music as the team comes out to the field; the helmet is not a major part of that.
  15. I completely agree with you. UND is aware. It’s been communicated to them. Up to them now to show the effort/innovation and get it done.
  16. All I got to say is solid win, things to improve on too. NOW, beat Boise!!
  17. Red River FB has a good squad this year. Get those student-athletes on board.
  18. Agree, need to get some back-up returners an opportunity. The back-ups that were in were a bit sloppy at the end. The botched onside kick recovery just made the end seem ugly, and sort of put a damper on the final impression. All in all, UND was definitely the better team. Fun to see for most of the game, but definitely work to do still, particularly special teams … and, I guess, second-team defense. Would like to see a full 4 qtr effort, but definitely will take 2-0 start as expected. NOW, where we learn about this team and football program: the next two big road games.
  19. Given their tough road schedule, UND needs to dominate at home. Git ‘er done!
  20. I’m definitely not off the bandwagon. Far from it, for several reasons, including the time and effort I’m putting in to support this team in-person. I’m just cautiously, cautiously optimistic … The recent history of UND football suggests this. Ignoring the trends of the last 10 years would be foolish.
  21. Man, you are clueless (and a detriment to University of North Dakota Athletics).
  22. Nah, but I do see ongoing apologetic, compensating comments for mediocrity of Bubba ball. Some want perfection, whereas others want ongoing contentment with mediocrity. Is there no happy-medium? Can we not want UND to *actually* elevate to the level of SDSU or NDSU? Would SDSU or NDSU be okay with a 7 point win vs NAU at home??
  23. Holy sh*t the narrative changed fast on this one. Bubba ball reality has hit …
  24. We’ll agree to disagree. My ideas are beyond suggestive of cheer. They show support and actual caring. Again, constructive criticism shows commitment and value. Complete emptiness or quietness is apathy, and much more damaging than “never ending blah blah”.
  25. Yeah, not good, but I’m with you. It’s reality of this current program. 10 year sample size is pretty solid.
