UND Football and Mediocrity: Teams Stuck in Purgatory May as Well be in Hell

Well …. They didn’t finish. Just enough foolery to make it hurt that much more. special teams: 10 points offense: 0 points this team / program is beyond bipolar

Finish!!!!!!

Odds are UND loses this game. Would like a pleasant surprise and change in trajectory. We’ve waited long enough through enough sh*t
-
It’s obvious we weren’t going to get classic uniforms this season, so this is okay. In the future, when classic jerseys and pants are obtained, then I think reverting back to the silver helmet and stripes with no logo is doable. Think Ohio State … no logo …

win the game … go und
-
Y’all will get used to it if they just win in it
-
Yep. Been trying for the payout for years. I’m 0/16. Maybe next time.

I agree. Would’ve been fun to see what they could’ve done in the postseason. The blowout win @ Cal Poly (final game of the season) they were firing on all cylinders. Another reason UND should beat USD: Western Illinois and Bob Nielson (USD current head coach) took UND’s playoff spot that season, and it was not justified in the slightest.

By the UND football metrics system, UND so far has 3 “good loses”. Therefore, we’re right on track! BubbaBall Decade by Decade

When the talent on the team is not the issue, but rather whether or not the talent will show up and do their job, then that’s entirely on coaching. Coaches (are supposed to) mentally prepare the team and put them in position to succeed. That’s their job and it’s incredibly important in the game of football. The travesty @UNI was blatant malpractice. These student-athletes aren’t mentally prepared like they should be (or could be) on a consistent basis. They cower in big games in hostile environments. Not saying USD in the old DakotaDome is hostile, but certainly not friendly. I agree- need Lennon to be available weekly (or someone else capable) so things get done around here.

This is a fan forum, the very place where daily bitching can come to life.

Can UND’s staff do their job and mentally prepare the student-athletes to be at their best when their best is required (on Saturday)? Doubtful based on past performances over the course of 10 seasons, but we’ll see. Maybe USD will have an off day.

Decade by decade not just me, several others realize the local narrative put forth is all propaganda and fool’s gold so many easily fooled due to being conditioned to substandard expectations … congrats (but not really) to you for being apart of the gullible group

pretty sure 1-4 in playoff games over the past 10 seasons is an objective measure. But sure, winning in the postseason is a response that is nonsensical and fails to recognize the undisputed superiority of Massey rankings (that aren’t even polls) … I mean why even have playoffs? For example, the old polls system in college football sans playoffs to determine the national champion was always superior ….
-
They’ll beat Illinois state, but that means 4 losses, and therefore much of the same. Likely early playoff exit as usual since road games are just so “hard”
-
I completely agree that that snafu was a momentum killer and inexcusable overall from a coaching/schematics standpoint. Not impressed with defense, which includes players and coaches.
-
Looks nice. Too bad the results on the field don’t show it. Would be nice to actually win playoff games or big games on road. But, if the goal is to only ascend Massey rankings, then this is a solid demonstration.
-
Kudos to him, his teammates and coaches. Offense has been solid these past 2 weeks. defense … not so much.
-
Big games on the road usually mean you know what with Bubba and co. leading the charge … … but, but, but … big road games are “hard”

Offense is fine. Tight end talk is moot. Tight end leak play in redzone was thing of beauty. Quincy been doing well at that spot. Give Danny and Shawn credit - offense and tight ends are doing well. defense is where the crap keeps happening. Those players and coaches need to step up
