  1. Bubba ball is here. Go UND!
  2. Defense needs to keep it up! Need to be on lookout for trick plays.
  3. Sweeney is just plain bad. Can't get any idea whether the play was "good" or "bad" for UND. No emotion.
  4. 2nd half is going to be a dog fight. UND can't miss chip shot field goals....that could cost them the game.
  5. DAMN!!! thats just not good.
  6. So, so far I have : Sweeney is horrible (or rusty) We now know why Studsrud is starter offense is improved oh, and GO SIOUX!
  7. UND keeps the ball! Great!
  8. Norberg fumbles it away. First big mistake. That kind of thing will easily cost UND the game.
  9. No prediction out of me ... ...other then... I expect Wyoming to win but I obviously hope Bubba and UND can keep it competitive and ultimately pull the upset. Go UND!
  10. Looks like 31-7 SDSU now. Kansas is awful. And this right here shows why the upper echelon FCS deserves to play in the same division as the lower FBS.
  11. No TV. Wyoming is, well, let's just say primitive. Radio and Twitter updates.
  12. Major thing is turnovers. If the UND offense can play clean, not necessarily explosive, but at least mistake-free, they will give the team the best chance. Obviously you have to score points, but turnovers will kill the team's chances. So as far as Studsrud goes, interceptions and fumbles are the only true bad plays.
  13. There are three things that can happen when you throw the ball, and two of them are bad. UND needs to be more balanced this season and take advantage of suspect secondaries, perhaps like Wyoming's, but abandoning the running game would be a HUGE mistake. UND can't afford mistakes (interceptions and QB sack-fumbles) with how the defense is; that is, field-position with a tough defense is crucial. Play Bubba ball - run the ball on offense, play the field position game, and play stifling defense that hopefully produces turnovers. The play-action game will have to be sprinkled in there as well for balance.
  14. Whether Wentz is injured or not, UND's defensive gameplan is going to be pressure, pressure, and more pressure. UND won't win the game unless they force Wentz into mistakes, like interceptions or fumbles. If Wentz happens to be immobile from the ankle injury he sustained on August 29th, then so be it; that plays into what UND was planning to do anyway. Wentz - or whoever is playing QB for the bizons - better be ready to play big boy football on September 19th.
  15. Should we talk about soccer while we're at it? Let's focus on football here.
  16. I guess all programs don't have the opportunity to choke on national television.
  17. The flagship school requires the opposing school to cooperate; Wyoming is the source of the issue here.
  18. Severity of this type of injury varies - it will be something to keep an eye on. Weber State game will be a good indicator of where that ankle is at for September 19th.
  19. This Saturday, Wyoming will lack senior experience on the field. They have 13 freshmen slotted to play and they have the second-fewest number of seniors of all FBS programs.
  20. The young man did not follow the law, but if he would precisely repeat what he did approximately a year from now, you would not hear a thing about it. Just something to think about.
  21. Not sure what story you read, but the young man WAS operating a vehicle. With that, I agree it's time to move on to the season opener. I'm very excited to "listen" on Saturday and see where this team is at. No reason the game down in Wyoming isn't competitive all 4 quarters, giving the boys in green and white a chance to pull it out at the end. Go UND!
  22. Montana's offense is wide open. Fast tempo and not afraid to throw it a bunch! Key is playing jump balls and getting pressure; UND did not play jump ball situations well last year so that will be something to watch when the time comes. Montana's defense is questionable yet. NDSU has a very good offense so it's hard to rate UM's D accurately. I'd say they are vulnerable against the run, however. That's a good thing for UND. (P.S. If UND has the ball and the lead with less than 3 minutes to play, don't unnecessarily pass.)
  23. Yes, if UND's defense is going to take the next step from stats to actual wins, it will take turnovers. Even a poor to average offense can score points when given a short field. If UND's defense gets more interceptions this season, they'll get more wins. Simple as that.
  24. Big Sky Conference comes out on top over the MVFC. Go UND!
