Last week stats, 4 tackles, 1 Int, 1 pass break-up http://www.godrakebulldogs.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=15700&ATCLID=210320845 _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ UND needs to do exactly what Bubba expects them to do: Play tough, smart, physical football on offense and aggressively get after people on defense. If UND focuses and plays their game - exactly what they did against Wyoming - they will be fine. Can't turn the ball over on offense and need to be physical up-front. On defense, stop the run, and on 3rd down, GET LOUD in the Alerus and help Sack City come alive! Should be a fun 50th annual Potato Bowl! Go UND!
  2. I hope he learns from his mistakes. Like others have said, his biggest problem areas were his indicative emotions and continual updates, or lack thereof. On the radio, emotion initially tells the audience whether or not a play is good or bad more so than descriptions. Lastly, fans need to be regularly updated on down and distance and time on the game clock/play clock. Just stating what yard line the ball is at is not entirely helpful.
  3. Man, after watching the highlights, the guy I might be the most impressed with is LT AJ Stockwell. He's an instant upgrade to the offensive line relative to last season. That left side, with Stockwell and Sr. LG Brandon Anderson, is tough and mean. Yesterday, Stockwell was doing a bunch of stuff - blocking two guys on one play, pulling and smacking people to the ground, etc. This year's offense already appears to be way improved over last season's, and it all starts up front. I'm loving the physical attitude that Knauf has instilled in that unit!
  4. It's going to be a crazy fun day on September 19th. The bizon will have their hands full. Go UND!
  5. Bubba ball is here. Go UND!
  6. Defense needs to keep it up! Need to be on lookout for trick plays.
  7. Sweeney is just plain bad. Can't get any idea whether the play was "good" or "bad" for UND. No emotion.
  8. 2nd half is going to be a dog fight. UND can't miss chip shot field goals....that could cost them the game.
  9. DAMN!!! thats just not good.
  10. So, so far I have : Sweeney is horrible (or rusty) We now know why Studsrud is starter offense is improved oh, and GO SIOUX!
  11. UND keeps the ball! Great!
  12. Norberg fumbles it away. First big mistake. That kind of thing will easily cost UND the game.
  13. No prediction out of me ... ...other then... I expect Wyoming to win but I obviously hope Bubba and UND can keep it competitive and ultimately pull the upset. Go UND!
  14. Looks like 31-7 SDSU now. Kansas is awful. And this right here shows why the upper echelon FCS deserves to play in the same division as the lower FBS.
  15. No TV. Wyoming is, well, let's just say primitive. Radio and Twitter updates.
  16. Major thing is turnovers. If the UND offense can play clean, not necessarily explosive, but at least mistake-free, they will give the team the best chance. Obviously you have to score points, but turnovers will kill the team's chances. So as far as Studsrud goes, interceptions and fumbles are the only true bad plays.
  17. There are three things that can happen when you throw the ball, and two of them are bad. UND needs to be more balanced this season and take advantage of suspect secondaries, perhaps like Wyoming's, but abandoning the running game would be a HUGE mistake. UND can't afford mistakes (interceptions and QB sack-fumbles) with how the defense is; that is, field-position with a tough defense is crucial. Play Bubba ball - run the ball on offense, play the field position game, and play stifling defense that hopefully produces turnovers. The play-action game will have to be sprinkled in there as well for balance.
  18. Whether Wentz is injured or not, UND's defensive gameplan is going to be pressure, pressure, and more pressure. UND won't win the game unless they force Wentz into mistakes, like interceptions or fumbles. If Wentz happens to be immobile from the ankle injury he sustained on August 29th, then so be it; that plays into what UND was planning to do anyway. Wentz - or whoever is playing QB for the bizons - better be ready to play big boy football on September 19th.
  19. Should we talk about soccer while we're at it? Let's focus on football here.
  20. I guess all programs don't have the opportunity to choke on national television.
  21. The flagship school requires the opposing school to cooperate; Wyoming is the source of the issue here.
  22. Severity of this type of injury varies - it will be something to keep an eye on. Weber State game will be a good indicator of where that ankle is at for September 19th.
  23. This Saturday, Wyoming will lack senior experience on the field. They have 13 freshmen slotted to play and they have the second-fewest number of seniors of all FBS programs.
  24. The young man did not follow the law, but if he would precisely repeat what he did approximately a year from now, you would not hear a thing about it. Just something to think about.
