I think the only players who played QB in High school were Harris, Tillman and Idowu. I doubt any of them would be options due to their defensive obligations. I thought someone on here said Ivery was the emergency backup. Not sure what truth there is to that though.

If this scenario of both Bartles and Mollberg are out, then yes. I would hate to see them pull a red shirt off a kid for a start or two on a wasted season.

Yep, that's the guy I was referring to and you're correct they spell the name differently. So that throws that theory out the window. Not sure exactly how they ended up recruiting this kid. Would love to see him come here.

Huge mistake if they move now. Not saying in the future it wouldn't be a good idea. It needs to be the right situation and the right time for the move. Moving up just to move up would be a horrible idea. Their transition from D-II to FCS was succesful because of timing. They were the first to go and got a jump on everyone else and was able to pick up some great regional talent cause of the terrible job Brewster was doing in recruiting. They slid into a conference that fit them perfectly. Not that it wasn't rough the first couple years. The Coach obviously had a lot to do with it as well. If they left and then failed it would be horrible for the program.

I think NDSU was a top 30 team last year I honestly do. This year I see them being around a top 75 team. They wouldn't be able to pull off a game like Kstate this year. I'd say if they were in the big 12 or big 10 this year they'd be a .500 team at best. Still that's pretty good for a FCS team. Now enter a !@#!$ post by D-bag 2011.

I just watched his hudl tape from his junior year. Very good with his feet as well. Very impressive. Not sure who's interested in him still after his injury.

I was just checking out some of the tape on the QB's we have interest in and the one that stood out to me is Tyler Perone. Doubtful we could get him but he looks real good. Not sure how we ended up recruiting a kid in Pennsylvania. I know there was a Perone that was a professor at UND awhile back.

Before the game I checked the wiki site and saw him as a interest on the defensive side of the ball. He's physically big and athletic and seemed to take a good angle of pursuit on ball carriers on sweeps. I did see him over pursue which obviously contradicts my first statement but over pursuit I think is normal for kids this age.

Watched the Sartell kid play when he came to Bemidji. He's a big kid, threw a nice ball, moved well and seemed to have a feel for the pocket. He had a rough night that though. I believe they got shutout. His WR's had some drops, but definitely not his best night.

Agree with everything you said about our QB situation. I agree that given room to move Garman is effective. Unfortunately he can't break tackles. He goes down way to easy. When Shaugs gets back he needs to play. I wasn't very impressed with Simmons either. Our Oline is what it is. They played better this week and hopefully it continues. For the second week in a row a WR comes out of nowhere to be a number one target. Also, we're continuing to utilize our TE's. Nice to see some recieving depth. All in all our offense is showing improvement and I believe it continues with either Mollberg.
