Look at some of ODUs scores this season. They obviously have a great offense, but not sure if their defense will be up to snuff on this tricky offense GSU brings in. I predict a shootout, here are some of their scores from the season: 64-61 (against new hampshire who just scored 7 against Wofford ...45-37 (against Richmond)...53-27 (against Georgia State)...41-31 (against Bill and Mary)...38-28 (against James Madison)...65-35 (playoffs Coastal Carolina)... And gave up 38 in their loss to Villinova. Jesus play some defense.

Can EWU run the ball? Bison had a had day in the 2nd half against ISU on the ground. Very avg mvfc defense, which is why I think EWU shuld be fine.

Yeah Bohl should really be concerned about guys who turned their jerseys in during quarterfinal week. It's an odd situation. Both dinwiddies had bright futures. Not so sure on the other kid as he obviously hasn't had a chance to make his mark yet. One thing it does is open up sme schollys...ndsu only had 7 available prior to this. I can't believe those boys from SHSU will want much to do with chilly weather. I'll go with the Bearcats, Old Dominion over GSU, NDSU over Wofford and EWU over Ill St. A very solid final 8 and quarterfinal matchups.

No Dakota Marker in the playoffs. As it should be. CMSioux nailed it...haha!

I would guess a majority renewed for the playoffs. SDSU snatched up their allotment, which I believe is 500. We had until tomorrow evening to renew the season ticket option. And there have been instances where they have opened up standing room only tickets and jammed people in the corners. It will be intense. Both teams have great defenses. As far as I'm concerned it's a toss up game.

SDSU throttles EIU, setting up a BIson-Jacks rematch. For the record...around 4500 freaking fans in attendance. That is horrid.

SDSU averaged just over 13k at home games this season if I read that correctly. Over 9k this weekend?

I watched the 2nd half of Cal Poly and NAU, and with so much on the line for NAU the crowd sure was embarassing. We are more spoiled in this state than we realize at times.

How about that 2nd round match up? Either Cal Poly or SHSU going to Montana State. That's a doozy.

SHSU avoided a Round 1 upset last year, hopefully Cal Poly can take them out. Eastern Illinois vs SDSU should be a darn good game, I don't see why "most" are giving it to SDSU so easily.

Besides the NC, the conference rivalries have really helped the Bison at the Dome. Each week there is a different angle. Once UND gets 3+ seasons in the BSC and a few games/storylines have been established I think attendance will be more stable. It is fricken nerve racking as a season ticketholder, but there isn't a conference game that I walk into the Fdome knowing 100% the Bison will win. That's what keeps me coming back....it takes a special class, season to win the BSC but you never know.

SDSU is legit. And if either SDSU or NDSU had UNDs offense i would fire up the celebration...and vice versa for UND. Crazy combos of defense and offense. Havent seen und live but the valley game today was old school.

In the Valley, I think SDSU is under rated but UNI and Youngstown should be about done getting votes -- sheesh. GSU vs Appy St this week I believe, plus GSU has Georgia on the schedule remaining as well.

Would be fun to see....

Look what happened at the top this weekend...playoffs are going to be awesome. Cal Poly will haveEWU and NAU on the road yet, big tests there for certain.

Well...what the heck is "good"? Just because he is a big boy he has to dominate? He rarely makes a mistake that would lead to the puck being buried...I'll take that on my team any day. Not to mention the fact that he sat out his SR year of HS with a torn ACL as well, so he has lost two seasons in the past 4-5 years due to ACL injury, rehabbed, and come back pretty darn strong. He is a darn solid WCHA player, has stuck it out for 4 years and battled through major injuries, and plays the game the right way to boot.

Bingo. He isn't a standout by any means but to say he isn't a good hockey player is ridiculous.

Like I've said on this board all along, when I walk into the FargoDome in the MVFC, I never know what to expect.

NDSU fans aren't holding onto a EWU grudge, I'm sorry. It is never brought up amongst the Bison fans I hang with, and the only time I really see it mentioned online is when the oppenent happens to be brought up. That team wasn't ready to win a NC anyway. When I think of the late Division II UND football teams (early to mid 90s and on), I personally think of an absolutely physical, dominant defense and a punishing running game. Unbelievable Linebackers. I actually think those attributes would fit UND better in the Big Sky than flinging it around and trying to shoot it out everygame. Which may be the point of the Bison playoff game in Montana State a few years back...NDSU basically manhandled them. UND has some history there to suggest it could do the same. Just my thoughts.

Good luck this weekend. Too bad there wasn't a hockey series to piggyback/market on this but I would guess that's a whole different discussion.

Not sure what it matters but Sagarin Rankings have MVFC, followed by CAA, followed by Southern, followed by Big Sky. I'm not a big believer in computer rankings but these have been fairly accurate in the past. To each his own I guess. I'll never understand the shoe size discussion about conferences. Last year SHSU was by and large in a junk conference and dang near won it all. I don't have a ton of knowledge about the Big Sky, but I know this about the MVFC....I rarely walk into the Dome expecting a W. Back in the NCC days you could gaurantee most of the schedule if you were UND/NDSU. Any Given Saturday.....

Your schedule is a meat grinder no doubt. That is quite the break for Poly....on paper anyway.
