    Speaking of goalies…GF girls goalie was out of her mind last night. 45 saves against Legacy-Bismarck, finally gave up a PP goal in pileup in the crease with 2 minutes left in a 1-0 game. Gf had played Jamestown the night before and it looked like their legs were a bit dead from that, so she carried that team. SOG were 46-16 and it ends 1-0, Baker was out of her mind. Very good goalie.

    Yeah she is electric, IMO the best player in the state - maybe that's obvious based on the stats. She's a threat anytime the puck is on her stick. The second leading scorer is a defenseman who is very good (believe she drives from Grafton). Depth is the biggest issue their second line drops way off and they roll 3 d for the most part. I do believe they took Fargo North to OT earlier this year...that's a good example of a team who you wouldn't wanna see in a "play in game" as we were just talking about. For example...Dickinson took GF to OT on Friday night (lost to Minot 3-2 earlier in the week). Abrahamson turns around and scores 6x on Dickinson Saturday.

    Just 1-8 unfortunately. Would be nice for some sort of play in system.

    Upcoming week...both boys and girls seem a bit quiet this week. The calm before the storm. WDA: LHS/CHS tuesday night, both have won 8 straight. CHS took the first one in a wild game in OT, this is a big one in regards to fighting for the top seed. CHS/Jamestown also do a home and home Thursday and Friday. BHS and Dickinson is huge for seeding purposes. EDC: North v South on Friday is the biggest game of the week. GFC has a great non conference week getting to play Section 8 EGF and Warroad Thursday and Saturday. I do believe Panzer is back for GFC. Girls: Davies and WF Tuesday looks to be the biggest battle for the top half of the standings. Bottom half of the standings the next 3 weeks will be insane. GF and Williston have a cushion on 6 and 7 with the 2 Bis teams fighting for 8 and Jamestown in 9. There's still some massive head to head games coming however and GF has played 2 more games than Williston and 4 more than the 2 Bismarck teams (and they have a 6 pointer with the CHS girls). All teams still have head to heads with each other too. It's going to be a wild finish for 6-7-8.

    Had a girl on the LHS/BHS with this exact issue. 2 weeks over Christmas and she was back.

    Looks like they got 27 skaters in bantams between an A and a B team give or take. Who knows how many move up.

    hadn't seen this. Red Pepper Icon Cam usually has games on when they're at Eagles if you wanna re-watch it for any reason.

    Good game from Walz in the pipe and the Jays were opportunistic. Good road win. Gotta love listening to Morelli on PSP. Calls it like it is.

    Legacy over Mandan 2-1 in OT. Mandan had 8 SOG in regulation, the goal being a breakaway off a turnover. Goaltender was once again real good. Mandan loses 3 in a row to Bismarck teams this week scoring 1-3-1. Looks like RR took North to the woodshed yesterday 6-0.

    Sheyenne tendy looks to have played a solid game based on the stats. Perhaps hard to tell how many of those were grade A. that EDC is gonna be wild.

    Yeah obviously an issue. Most transfers from “out of region.” More and more are wanting that FBS too after seeing some success from others )not all). My point was regarding the race card as inferred…. See how they respond. They’re chasing SDSU for sure now and wouldn’t doubt at it UND beats them next season. Sports are fun.

    Izzo and kolpack debunked that by going over the transfers of the last few seasons. MN might as well throw shade at NDSU (and UND, SDSU and local MVFC schools) when given the chance. They are all recruiting in the same area…at least in some aspects. Yes obviously MN higher caliber but talking MVFC conference scholarship or a walk on at the u….It’s a dirty game, and if ya don’t play it you’re F’d.

    CHS beats Mandan 5-3 in a game that wasn't that close. CHS top 2 lines flat out too fast for Mandan and created a lot of problems for them. North Davies 1-1 after 2.

    Still blows my mind that SMCHS had a team for a short time. wish there was an equitable way to do 6 point games. Especially on the girls side. Having a 6 pointer against Dickinson for one team isn’t exactly the same as having WF, Minot or GF for another. perhaps the only way to get away from that it to increase game counts so teams can keep their holiday tournaments and non conference games.

    WF wore the tendy out for ya lol.... CHS Mandan on PSP Network tonight. Huge game for seed jockeying in the WDA. Mandan won the first match 1-0. North and Davies should be a good one out east. Girls side North vs Davies, 1 v 2 (as of today) in the state.

    2 biggest games from last night: south over GFC in what looks like was a barn burner. Legacy takes down minot 4-1 in the west. Also of note the demons shocked mandan 3-1 on Mandans home ice.

    Don’t know overall record but it’ll always be skewed. Legacy lost a shootout to North and OT to Davies. Lost to GFC 5-2 in a game that was 2-2 going into 3rd and a couple d snafus cost them. Handled WF. CHS also beat WF. Lost to Davies 6-4 and GFC 2-1. CHS has good team speed especially on top 2 lines and have started rolling lately. Outside of RR and South I feel those 2 teams could “scare” someone round 1 but who knows….could lose out in WDA on any given day too. That’s why they play the game i guess. minot always goes to roseau tourney so don’t get as much crossover. Sheyenne handled them 4-0 over the weekend.

    Some big games this week include: legacy at Minot. Mandan at chs, Mandan at legacy, sheyenne at north, south at gfc, north at Davies, north at RR some that stand out on both sides. girls side loaded with key matchups too. Every game counts more for them.
