I think IUP was talking about a game with NDSU But I am pretty sure they filled the date with a home game with IUP Does anyone know if any of UND's non-con games are part of home/home contract. If so you would think UND may want to start a home/home on the road this year to even out their schedule.

They made the playoffs in 02, not too long ago, also beating UND 43-7 that year The point I am trying to make is that there is not that big of a difference between lower d2 teams and NAIA, especially in states like Montana where there is no D2 schools for players to go to if they can't (or don't want to) play IAA. Kind of like how there isn't that much difference between the top-tier D2 schools in states which don't have IAA programs (ND, MI) and some IAA schools

I can't beleive I am responding to this but, I don't think over 15k (the attendance for a Gopher-Hawkeye dual meet) have been at a Fillet of Fish Friday. The NCAA championships also routine sell out the Savvis Center (where the St. Louis Blues play). Obviousy it is not a "big-money" sport. But people do watch it. Also, Central Washington lost to an NAIA school last year.

I'll admit I didn't much about NW State until recently however they went to the playoffs in IAA in 97, 98, 01 and 02. They also beat Delta St 35-7 in 02. They also average over 10k fans a game. I don't think the average NCC team could do that. I don't plan on defending Montana Tech however.

Playmaker's doesn't open until later in the day on Saturday's. I was going to watch the Ohio St.-Michigan game there (when UND was playing PSU) but they don't open until 4 pm (give or a take an hour or two)

If GVSU gets better players than Central Mich because Cent Mich is in the lowly MAC why did you head coach leave to take a job there . Everybody nows the quality of players at GVSU is much better than in the MAC.

Should we have a "board pool". Instead of guessing how many jelly beans are in a jar we can guess what the Gangelhoff Center will actually hold. I am going to go with an intermediate number... how about 2,200. anybody else with a guess?

What will the standard for ND High School students be?

Considering how far UND is lagging in Research Dollars... I would say maybe the VP doesn't know the system 8 of the top 10 institutions in research dollars are not land-grant schools 10/10 do have Medical Schools though

Living in Ames I can say that Wayne Morgan's job at Iowa State seems pretty secure. He is in his first year and they won't make the dance but will be in the NIT. They did have some big wins over Iowa, Texas, Kansas and Missouri but lost to some crappy teams like San Diego St, Baylor etc which will cost them a tourney trip. McDermott is a good coach but I see him staying at his alma mater until he builds up his reputationa bit more and gets a really good offer from a "big-time" school.

What types research dollars can non-land grant schools compete for

Should be another good game tonight. The only prediction I am going to make is a fourth game this year which will be worth a lot more.

University of Phoenix (UND) ? It seems interesting they are willing to fill this "need", and not offer a residency program in Fargo.

SCSU loses Heckendorf if they can replace him they could compete, however I don't see anybody else. UMD? Augie?, MSUM? USD? ummm no. SDSU was not a bad team last year. Didn't they play UND pretty close

If "the rest of the NCC teams" means the NCC minus UND and UNO well SDSU did beat the rest of the NCC teams last year
