This document says there will be a 3000 ft2 addition for basketball/volleyball space. On the north end? That isn't enough space for another basketball court. Maybe it's space for accordion bleachers to be moved out of the way for practice?

anyone know of an addition/renovation/changes to teh Betty? there are bids out there that some architect firms are looking at and a foundation/bricklaying company is also looking at? i asked to make sure they aren't getting the ipf confused with the betty and both said it is def the betty...?

handle this behind closed doors if you need but to suspend him for not one but two games is a bit excessive...imo

anyone else notice how flat the team looked when the hundred of student athletes were called to the north side of the gym..i think und scored four points the rest of the first half...

use our hockey connections and once a year have a "Wisconsin Weekend"....
friday 6pm mens bball versus wisconsin followed by mens hockey at 8 versus wisconsin
sat at 2pm have a womens bball game versus wisconsin followed by mens hockey at 7 versus wisconsin
have the womens hockey team play at 7:30 on friday and 6:30 on saturday against wisconsin in the olympic rink and one hockey ticket to the ralph gets you into both mens and womens games so fans can mingle between the mens and womens game...
if it takes a 2 or 3 or 4 for 1 to get this done with either wisconsin, notre dame, minnesota, boston college...get it done!!!!

The Shrine Circus does it too.
the bowling green game was a game where free tix were redeemed for little kids for what i heard....good game too yet with a really good crowd for non-conference...need to do that more!!

read a few posts on other message boards by the artist formerly known as star2city and i can't believe all the rumors about conf realignment!!
let me preface that if and when idaho joins the bsc full time (fb) i think the bsc is the perfect home for und (w/o ndac, usd, and sdsu)...but the one rumor that star2city threw out there was kind of interesting....
the summit implodes with the western schools getting poached by the ovc and horizon and such leaving ndac, usd, sdsu, omaha, and denver....what's left of teh summit takes on teh top of the bsc resulting in...

he said this probably wouldn't work without having a larger presence in california for recruiting for fb but if sac state wins out would that be enough...

i just hope that whatever new conference the ndac ends up in hires that genius marketing firm that the summit league had so i know where schools like msu-m, scsu, and gvsu are actually located???

anyone know if the betty was designed to accomodate a center hung scoreboard?? it would be nice to see some upgrades done to the betty like they recently did to the ralph....especially when the volleyball and mens bball teams will be host the big sky post season tourneys next year!!!

If it comes down to it, it would be NDSU with a bullet. The discussion would not be NDSU's on court success versus SDSU. It will be the F-M area, its size and growth rate versus Brookings, SD. Who would you pick?
i would pick nebraska-omaha and their market size, new arena, and easier travel...
talk about people knowing stuff before it happens...maybe trev alberts was told back a few years ago that if creighton ever jump ship they would be the auto backfill school?

if the mvc loses one team being creighton they replace them with omaha
if the mvc loses two teams they can add uno and denver
if the mvc loses three teams they no longer are the mvc...just like wac is no longer the wac

hopefully the ad's at ndac, sdsu, usd kept their stationary with the GREAT WEST CONFERENCE on it....might need to pinch a few pennys for a couple of years til the big 12 comes a calling
hopefully fullerton uses this to lean on idaho a little more for full affiliation (fb)
really what does denver do??? i would love for them to add fb and be the last member of the bsc instead of idaho because of our hockey relationship...and the fact that idaho will always and forever be chasing boise juco

when the summit adds grand valley state do they refer to them as that or as the university of allendale??? stay tuned for a big time press conference announcing which one???

congrats to all the coaches (especially coach luke by the looks of it) for putting in a lot of miles and hours to get this class put together....hopefully there a more than a few gamechangers in this recruiting class...
congrats to southern university for being the only fcs school to grab an espn 300 player...
anyone know what the crowd was like at the alerus?? from what i've heard it was pretty low....suggestion? how about actually having it on CAMPUS? ? the gorecki alumni center would be perfect for it...heck even have it at the union upstairs in the ballroom??

the engelstad foundation buys the yotes and builds a 20k super-sized arena to the east of REA and moves the yotes to GF and renames them the Fighting Sioux...renovate the betty for the women's hockey team and you have four sheets of ice for three teams and games from october to ?

weber showed their depth at teh bigs when one talented big guy got in foul trouble they brought in another talented big and when he needed a rest they brought in another talented big....
hopefully that elbow brekke took didn't/doesn't set him back..
the broken practice basketball hoop is another example of the athletic department/REA not giving two craps about anything other than hockey....what a joke to see that thing hanging there in the way for such a big game??!!

Great game! Turned it off when we went down by 20 some but turned it back on midway through the second. I was very pleased to not see Allard in the second half.
all of allards minutes need to go to stockdale....better athlete and won't shoot airballs and fall on his face
