does the "other" und get anything from the big 10 for hockey or since they have nbc contract they opt for zero and total control of their tv games?

but was moving from the big sky to summit and mvfc "exciting" ... exciting is the Big10 hockey and MVC??

i still thinks back to haydu's cryptic tweet last summer about "exciting times" ahead for und athletics...people tried to say it was the tv deal, or new uni's, or new video boards at betty? wonder if it was conference related?

altho i just said und and ndac are attached at the hip for ...forever...what changed recently to where patty and who others decided to take und for both the summit and mvfc? do they know that the mvc is looking/taking ndac and they needed a dakota replacement? but if thats true don't you just leave usd/sdsu up there as is and take back umkc? make you wonder why the tables turned so quick for und to get into the summit/mvfc?

Hockey? that goes without saying. Just saying that it is a different time in NoDak and keeping costs down are going to be a much bigger thing going forward. There are not a lot of conferences that want to send a soccer team to either fargo or grand forks for one match as opposed to doing a 2 for 1 if und and ndac were in the same conference. I actually think that a summit/mvc/mvfc merger might be an easier/better way for some midwest teams to go FBS...und, ndac, sdsu, usd, missouri state, niu, youngstown, illi state...

I do think it's pretty safe to think that for the next 100 years that UND and the NDAC will be attached at the hip when it comes to conference affiliation (mutually agreeable or govenor mandated)...where one goes the other goes...like it or not.

i know they are the big dog but really one school can keep out a large metro school like that...plus they used to be in that conf before...but yeah they are the zags!!!

btw why the heck isn't seattle back in the wcc...large market, nice arena, and former member?

i still haven't forgiven rudy and i don't know if i ever will...both my eyes are on him this year...how he uses brady, john, and jj will be interesting at the very least

no way ndac gets in alone..either they take two (und, usd, or sdsu with them) as a travel partner or all four dakota schools...no way those ad's and pres's go that far outside of their region for one solitary school...zero chance imo

would be fun if they announced und, ndac, usd, sdsu, and omaha...14 teams split east / west... or also add umkc and valpo and go 16 split 8/8 everyone gets a good travel partner west und / ndac usd / sdac omaha / umkc nothern iowa / drake east missouria state / siu evansville / indiana state bradley / illinois state valpo/ loyola (yeah...denver and seattle go to the wcc!)

umkc's wiki page says that one reason they left the summit was their (summit league) insistence upon referring to them as "kansas city"...is this true and if so why did'nt fargo university leave too?

now having the big dog in the summit (und) does umkc come back home to the i29 league...especially when chicago state is taken off life support...you would think that the summit especially with und in looks a helluva lot nicer than the wac...
