more bad things happen on kickoffs then good things...guys running 100mph straight ahead from all different angles and whatnot..
did anyone happen to see what the might Petey Carroll did at the end of the regulation last night....you're welcome!
maybe you fumble and since you have no timeouts you get the ball back with 30 seconds and you lose the game...just take a knee, fair catch it, or let er go out the back of the endzone.
the name of the new / old conference is irrelevant...it was interesting to hear him say that some more conference shuffling might happen...this c-usa approach just can't cut in in hockey...2 teams in alaska, one in alabama, schools in michigan, ohio, northern minnesota and southern minnesota....lots and lots of travel...something has to give eventually.
talk about monday morning qb's if bubba let ketts rip off a few sideline rippers and one gets picked off in pursuit of a 50 yard field goal that would probably have landed at the 5 yard line....very very very few coaches run anything other than a kneel down or at worst a run up the middle...much less old bubba.
situational football...ten minutes left in the game sure...run it out...opening kickoff run it out...less than 3 minutes left with no to's if you fumble that kickoff you gonna lose. don't touch the ball.
there is a reason why we will be watching other FCS teams in the playoffs and not UND in a couple of weeks because of coaches decisions like...the playoff teams will play smart situational football where UND just rolls with a guy that way out of his league.
fenton was a guest with ole on saturday night inbetween periods...he mentioned the possible return of the ccha...if that happens would miami and western join them? if so would the nchc backfill with bemidji and kato or st thomas down the road?
let the ball go you are guaranteed the ball on the 25...no penalties, no injuries, no fumbles...no risk... i would say if at that point we were down 7 or if we had only scored 6 points all game let him have a go...but at that point if the ball crossed that line you let it go 100 times out of 100....
kostitch should've told the returners that if that ball lands anywhere inside the five let it go into the endzone and and don't touch the GD ball under any circumstance!!!! take the ball at the 25 and let the offense win the game!!!! to say that this isn't kostitch's fault are just stupid. the offense was clicking.
so we have more of a history with western michigan, nebraska-omaha, and miami of ohio than we do with Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Michigan State, and Notre Dame?
