  1. You'll never believe this! Her picture is called "1234.jpg" !!
  2. Why the hell would our national defensemen (military) be in another country!?!
  3. It was directly relevent. Stop following me around and policing my posts. No one even whined about them being off topic.
  4. Sounds like typical souther football BS. It's esp. bad in DII where they simply put all their fastest players on offense and think that automatically equals wins. They have s#!% defenses which is why they consistantly get beat by the better West, North, and East reigon DII teams. DIAA probably has teams like that as well, but most of the Southland and SoCon are fairly solid.
  5. If you were DI you'd get to play 12 games next year.

  7. More likely, dispite any success in women's bball and men's football UND has in DII, any success NDSU has in DI is going to cause UND fans to say "hey, we can do that!". You have the facilities, the recruiting base (same as ours), and the alumni financial support. Minneapolis+North Dakota can support 2 I-AA schools as UMN looks out of MN for the majority of their talent.
  8. I was going to say, it definately looks like a hotel from the pics. The other building was for research, which I didn't inclue NDSU research park, and the 1st link isn't working. But yes, any new builds are good as they provide potential classroom space. Research is the 3rd main thing to consider as far as sq. ft. go. Definately looks like they're building up there.
  9. Admitting more students is an easy way to increase enrollment. However, making sure you have dorm space and classroom space is the hard part. NDSU built a new dorm that opened last year and is working on another large dorm building that will be done by next year. Any new buildings @ UND?
  10. However, both the GSC and the SAC will manage 3 playoff entrents apeice thanks to the good ol' boy network...err...DII playoff selection committee.
  11. I didn't think of the JUCO's. Not sure if they would've come or not. Certainly, I don't think we would've gotten Coach Bohl (who brought in the rest of the DI staff). So, I guess we wouldn't be in the same position.
  12. So far no teams have been forced down to IAA from IA. From what I've heard, the rule is a joke because there are easy ways around it (give tickets away) and it's hardly enforced. I agree that there are teams that don't belong in IA right now, but certainly NIU, Bowling Green, Miami, and Marshall are not them. And on top of that, who knows what is going to happen in IA and IAA in the near future. I can see many cases playing out: - BCS gets their own division - IAA gets eliminated with schools either dropping down to DII or moving up to IA - Many of the top teams move up to the non-BCS IA anyway, leaving IAA watered down - BCS doesn't get their own division - IAA gets eliminated anyway, same scenario as above All I know is that something is going to change and soon. The contract with the BCS ends in 2006 for the NCAA.
  13. Perhaps you should worry about GVSU first.
  14. Obviously UND and GVSU no longer belong in DII. On off years like these they simply reload, destroy all DII competition, get ranked 1 and 2, and meet in Alabama. Obviously UND could have a place in the BSC but where would GVSU go? Gateway? OVC? It would be interesting to see them in the Gateway IMO. Is there any talk of GVSU moving up? Do they have the facilities and financials? Actaully, now that I think about it, the DII committees, run by the corrupt good ol' boys, put the GLIAC and the NCC in the same reigion didn't they. They could see that UND and GVSU were probably going to meet in the finals for the next 10 straight years. It should be another clue for you guys to get out of a currupt DII system.
  15. I tried to post this over on Bisonville and got laughed at. I knew it would be a blow out just like UND-UNA last year. Southern teams just don't have defense (unless we're talking about SEC, ACC, Southland, or SoCon teams). Another intersting thing: what if NDSU was still D2 this year. The only possible recruit that you could take away from us is Washington, but we still might have gotten him with the promise of going DI next year. We would walk through DII blindfolded if that really was the 3rd best team in the nation!
  16. I believe Fargo is Clay and Cass counties while GF is GF and whatever county EGF is in.
  17. I think from Bay Minnette to Gulf Shores (including Fairhope and Daphne) is pretty big and/or growing pretty fast. 1.5 million people from Gulfport to Pensacola.
  18. I think the base population is still included in the GF area. But I suppose the flood did the most damage. As far as new development, I don't think the developers should be worried about competition simply because there is no development of the area.
  19. Development around the Alerus people could be moving from GF to Fargo because of the better development Not sure how you missed the connection.
  20. So you think commercial development has nothing to do with those numbers? BTW, people could be moving from GF to Fargo because of the better development.
  21. Fargo MSA 1990 pop. = 153000 Fargo MSA 2000 pop. = 174000 GF MSA 1990 pop. = 103000 GF MSA 2000 pop. = 97500 Why are people moving to the Fargo area but leaving the Grand Forks area? Is it because of the lack of commercial development in the area? Does the military base have anything to do with it?
  22. My typing isn't perfect as you can see and my facts aren't always dead on either. Just curious. The main reason I'm posting here is this now the only board I post on. I was banned from bisonville.
  23. So with all the marble and leather seats and fancy electronic score board, etc., really the only think that keeps the REA from being the best arena in the world is its capacity? I have been in the REA once and it was very nice, but I think the Xcel is probably a slight better arena.
  24. So really, only teams from the WCHA, CCHA, and HE have a chance?
