It's a much closer game than i thought. I was thinking the 1st half score would be something like 21-3 bison, but the sioux defense has played well and the sioux offense got lucky and scored on a long play. The sioux kicker Glas also misses 2 FG attempts. My prediction now is that the bison come out strong in the 3rd qtr and score to tie it up. Then score again later in the game + a FG to make it Bison 17 Sioux 7.

1st qrt. over. UND 7 NDSU 0. I honestly didn't expect UND to score any touchdowns. NDSU got cought with the wrong person @ SS which allowed UND to score. Otherwise, they wouldn't have scored. NDSU is currently driving on UND who looks foolish on defense as they are unable to stop anything NDSU is throwing at them. ** well it looks like as soon as i said that the Bison offense sputtered a bit almost allowing an interception.

The sioux got lucky that Dalh was @ Saftey instead of Mike Sheppard. BTW, sioux starting on their own 4 yard line after the punt by NDSU.

So both Bowencamp and Wilson are ready to go for the game Sat.?

NDSU isn't an ag school anymore as ag is a dying way of life. NDSU is now (and has been) and engineering school. Engineers make alot of money. Probably not quite as much as doctors or lawyers, but they make plenty.

The reason we haven't taken the leash off the passing game is because we've run on all the teams we've played on this year. UND will be no different. 300+ yards of running should be expected. Could we have unleash the passing game should the run fail? Of course. With Stauss at qb and 4 of the conference's best receivers (including the 2 fastest) in burrell, johnson, belquist, and white UND won't be able to stop us.

Northern State will beat Winona St. They killed MN-Duluth 46-7 and only lost to St Cloud 13-27. They play Concordia-STP this week and it will be for the NSIC championship. Since UND is losing to the Mighty Bison this week i wouldn't be suprised to see Northern in there if they win out.

Well then we should have only the minimum amount with the most resources going to fball and bball. Girls and guys golf i could easily see go.

First of all i'll just say i'm not opposed to sacrificing wrestling. Secondly, i do agree that many schools have cut their wrestling programs because they don't make money. But, for whatever reason, people actually come to watch Bison wrestling and they pay for it. I think it does fairly well money wise (definately not as good as bball or fball...probably better than vball though). So for that reason i don't think it's high up on the cut list. "Sports" like golf though...that is something that easily could be cut. And baseball/softball and track/x-country. I doubt either of those make much if any.

no amount of rationalizing is going to help your team on saturday. You can talk as smart as you want, i don't care, i just hope we beat down the sue and take back the nickle. I also hope UND stops being wussies and moves up to D1 even if they have to sacrifice "sports" like swiming.

Alright i get the idea. With as much money as you make with hockey then you guys shouldn't be scarred of money. Also if you're worred about not enough women scholorships then get rid of men's scholorships. Honestly, you could probably get rid off all men's sports except for hockey, basketball, and football, which are the true money-makers. The rest of the sports probably don't make money at all and have very low fan turn outs. NDSU is a little different, mainly we don't have hockey, and instead we have wrestling which makes good money for us. All those other sports are just to be nice to athletes who play them in high school and want to play them in college. With all those scholorships gone, surely you could get football 63, 20 to hockey, and 20 to bball. So there you have it. And once your programs get on their feet fincancially you can start adding programs back in. I think NDSU should do the same.

I understand what you're saying and it makes sense. The REA is obviously the one of the best hockey areana's in the USA, maybe the world. I know nothing about the REA sports center...i'll just assume it's a new field house to replace the crumbling Hyslop. So, if you have more money NOW than you did before the REA...what's stopping you from dropping useless sports like tennis and swimming and taking the rest to D1 status? Are you just scared? Also, believe it or not, i already though of this. The reason we won at Montana is coaching. In fact the reason our season has been going so well in the first place is coaching. Sure we had plenty of talent here, but we got even more talent that the new coaches recruited (Stauss, Summerville, Ware) and they installed a system that has been successful. Basically we have a D1A coaching staff. UND on the other hand has a D2 caliber staff with little or no D1 experience that i'm aware of. That would be the difference. Your coaches (they are good, no question) would have to earn their D1 experence after UND went D1, hypothetically, while our coaches already have lots of D1 experience. Montanna maybe the best team in D1-AA, but our coaches were not intemidated as they'd all seen teams much better.

LOL LOL LOL!!!! Listen to 92.96!!! Blah blah blah, your receiver is so good and Babich is so bad. GUESS WHAT? UNO has a receiver that is 6'5", runs a 4.3, and probably jumps 40". He is going to go in the first 2 rounds of the NFL draft. Look how well he and UNO did against us! LOL! If UND thinks they can beat us when we're D1AA then i laugh! The only chance they have is to go up to D1AA themselves...and with their small budget tehre is no way they can upgrade all their sports AND have hockey. Hockey just sucks up SO much money with all the travel etc. If we win it and you don't schedule us again, i think we will damn well do as we please with it. Melt it down, or perhaps we'll make a display out of it and charge Grand Forks' people $27.50 to see it.

What happenes to this after this game? Lets just say NDSU wins, i think we should get to keep it until you decide to play us again. If that's never, so be it. We'll just hang on to that baby for all eternity. Maybe we'll melt it down and remold it as a bison or something.
