  1. When talking about facilities, UND is the closest to being DI. SDSU, NDSU, and UNC all have lots things to build or improve.
  2. Fargo is the only city in ND worth learning to spell right.
  3. It's not hard to shut out horrible offenses.
  4. That is exactly what I was saying. Thanks.
  5. When I said hockey is non-existant what I meant was that there are no teams other than bismark gf and fargo.
  6. If you would real the thread, you'd see we were arguing about the state, not the campus.
  7. SDSU needs to get all the sports mandated by the BSC and cut this women's horse riding bulls*** out of there. Seriously, is that a joke? Women's horse riding?! You've got to be s***ing me! I'd MUCH rather see the BCS survive and the NCAA disbanded I think schools should only be afiliated with a conference at most. The NCAA is about strongarming everyone and anyone into doing whatever they want. It's nothing but a bunch of money and power hungry good ol' boys that need to be completely dissolved.
  8. Again, it's impossible for you to claim an entire reigion is sioux fans JUST because you and your friends and family were.
  9. Actually, with the BCS/NCAA contract coming to an end after this season, we could see changes very soon.
  10. And we all know how important the government is.
  11. There are three types of people: those who can add and those who can't.
  12. Ever hear of Phil Jackson? LOL. Nice one. Just because you were a sioux fan hardly makes the entire town and western side of the state sioux fans!
  13. 19-5 = 14. 13+5 = 18. So, the state might actually like NDSU football more than UND hockey. Who is a NDSU football fan's most hated school? UND. Obviously they aren't going to put one of the states own colleges in the "most hated" column. Look, it was a stupid little poll in which 401 people responded. Obviously a lot of those are from GF since they obviously just called people from Fargo, GF, and Bismark. They have no idea what the majority of the state likes or doesn't like.
  14. That doesn't mean that the state says hockey is the number one sport in general. Besides that poll was 401 people with an error or 5%! So that negates the 19% to 13% lead taht UND Hockey has over NDSU Football.
  15. I think UND was talking only about science and engineering (the only two where expensive technology plays an important part of research) while NDSU was talking about all programs.
  16. To say that the entire state's favorite sport is hockey is a lie. Fargo, GF, and Bismark have nice HS hockey teams. Other than that, the sport is non-existant. It's such an expensive sport to play and provide facilities for that only the largest cities have hockey facilities. The class A football tournament and the class B bball tournament prove my point. I'd even go so far as to say wrestling, baseball, and volleyball are higher up than hockey. Nice try.
  17. So if we were to see the end of divisions, I think we'd also see the end of national champions. That would leave only conference champions (and championship games) as well as groups like the BCS to hold their own championships. I kinda like the idea myself. It puts more importantance on conferences and conference games.
  18. However, the MAC schools themselves are all close to each other while the BSC schools are spread out. That means the BSC schools would be more likely to accept a school that is farther away. I want to say that Marshall is going somewhere, but is MAC for now. I know that Louisville and Cincinati are going to the Big East, so it's possible that Marshall could "upgrade" to CUSA. Also (replying to your other post) how would you determine champions in a non-divisional system? Simply have all 400 (or whatever) teams in one giant playoff?
  19. OTOH, the MAC is located in Indiana, Ohio, and Michigan, quite a ways away from UND. They're not expanding at the moment, either. Perhaps if some teams leave for bigger conferences, but right now, no. Also, I've been saying this for a while now: for current IA teams the 15000 rule won't be enforce. However, for new teams, it will be.
  20. All I have to say is that UMD beat Moorhead State by 4. Seriously, Moorhead HS would beat Moorhead State.
  21. I simply think Kup meant to say Mid Continent instead of Mid American. That particular confusion has happened multiple times both on here and on bisonville. How many times must it be said? For schools already in DIA, the 15000 average attendance will never be enforced. The MAC is not splitting up.
  22. South Utah will be no cakewalk either, Wyo. They beat MSU in LA and came close to Poly.
