The Dogs getting run out of their own building. 3-0, Gophers about twelve minutes in and shots 16-3.

I was at that game. Crazy night! A buddy of mine who really isn’t much of a college hockey fan went with me and was just absolutely thrilled, shocked, amused, and happy to have attended that game in person! I guess DU got the last laugh at the end of the day but that was and is a very memorable game in UND lore for sure.

I agree 100% with you when it’s UND scoring against CC! When it’s DU, not so much!

He has one of the most memorable UND goals in my mind. I wanna say it was his sophomore season at CC. He went 200 feet and beat all five CC defenders and scored. It was a thing of beauty.

I wasn’t sure where to post this but they say you can spot a UND fan just about anywhere.

CC had no problems sweeping a depleted Northern Michigan squad. Only 4 returners as several of the NMU players entered the transfer portal in the off season. 16 freshmen in their lineup.

Shot attempts were 102-32, CC. Mbereko a little rusty, NMU goalie played great.

Laba with yet another OT winner. CC outshot NMU 48-19. NMU had 23 blocked shots.

7-0. 42-4 shots. Not sure what benefit the Tigers will get out of this game besides not scrimmaging against themselves.

CC up 6-0 after two on Briarcrest College (out of Saskatchewan). Shots are 38-4. I stopped standing up to clap after the third goal.

Went to the CC season ticket holder fan fest today and got to meet the players. Sweet new road sweaters with the Tiger crest on the front…finally. My wife had fun conversation with Mbereko, Laba, Montgomery, Wisdom and others and they all had a good laugh at my expense. But all in good fun. But seriously, UND, let’s get some payback against the Tigers in February!

I got a hall pass from the boss and just got my tickets for the UND series at Lawson against the Broncos in Feb/Mar. Anyone here heading to Kalamazoo as well?

I just got out of the theater (Aliens Romulous) and pulled up the box score. Holy cow! Would someone mind providing a quick synopsis of what the heck happened in the first quarter and what happened to Montana’s offense/UND’s defense after that? Very pleased to see the outcome!

If you’re referring to his UND hockey podcast episode from August 23rd, there was also some discussion about why UND and Michigan haven’t played a regular season series since 1980. What didn’t get mentioned is that there’s some speculation that either Red didn’t like UND and/or Michigan typically wants teams to travel to their barn but rarely reciprocates.

I saw UND play NU at Matthews Arena circa 2007. UND had played BC to a scoreless draw the night before in a weird game called due to fog. The experience at Matthews was awesome. Loved the old feel to the building, it even smelled old, like musty or something. I don’t think it was the players’ equipment.

If he’s anything like his dad from back in the day with the Tigers, he will be special. Huge get. Wonder if Mac looked at CC as well or just wanted to chart his own path.

I have no earthly idea. I’d be curious to know as well. Certainly wasn’t due to a lack of playing time. He was solid and I’m sure a big part of Mayotte’s plans for the season to come.
