  1. And I was going to say, SCSU’s first goal was the result of a weak play and terrible zone entry by us which led to a quick turnover and rush by them. Man, just dump the puck in if you’re one on three.
  2. Last I heard before to have, we were 58th in the nation.
  3. Exactly! Do the inmates run the asylum over there at UND? The President comes across like he’s punting on this matter. Not a good look of leadership on the President’s part, “Go ask the coach if he’s willing to talk to the public about this.” Is how I read his quotes.
  4. I’m sure opposing fan bases are delighting over this story right now. I personally know of one UND hater who posted the story to the CC hockey discussion page last night. Regardless of who did what, where, and to whom, you are absolutely right-this is a distraction to the program that they don’t need. Poor optics for UND, BB, and the hockey team.
  5. In my twenties, I was just trying to figure out how to pay my rent, have some leftover beer money, and chase girls (and not particularly in that order) and I typically failed miserably with at least 2 of these 3 things. Impressed a twenty-something knows how to create LLC’s and obtain trademarks all on her own. Very impressive.
  6. There are highlights of the game out on YouTube. The video quality looks like it was a fan down in the corner of the rink but was fun and entertaining to watch nonetheless. Those ASU fans are having a lot of fun. Would love to see UND take a weekend road trip to Tempe one day.
  7. Even a blind squirrel catches a nut once in a while.
  8. Kinda like Detroit Lions fans now starting to enter the fan transfer portal in droves.
  9. Server at Red Robin felt sorry for us tonight and not only did he say he’d request an extra dose of sympathy, he comp’d us on our fries!
  10. Totally. I just watched the replay of it and that St. Cloud guy put a lot of heat and velocity on that shot. Puck took one bounce as it neared the goal and didn’t appear to slow down. Now maybe Mbereko could have come a bit further out of his net to cut off the angle but easy to say that in hindsight as that play developed so dang quickly out of nowhere. Edit: Not to mention, that shot was very high in the air and was dropping rapidly upon hitting the ice and bouncing back up.
  11. Mbereko gave up a nearly 200 foot short handed goal but can’t say I entirely blame him. Those long range wrist shots sometimes have a lot of velocity and when they start skipping as they approach the goal, it’s probably difficult for a goalie to judge which direction they’re going to go.
  12. 3-3, Dogs and Broncos less than nine minutes into the game. Defense optional.
  13. Bring in the General for a players’ only meeting! I recall Steph Pattyn having one of those one year and things turned around.
  14. I’d argue the contrary, that they did not play their hearts out. Did anyone see Jandric half ass it back late in the game and a DU player raced back and darn near beat out an icing?
  15. There’s a CC page on FB that’s just like that. We nicknamed it the “Rah Rah” page. Out of frustration and just weariness over reading the same types of posts, my buddy went and started another CC hockey discussion page where fans can be open and honest and yes, critical without being brow beaten as “not true Tigers hockey fans.”
  16. Anyone hear Hennessy’s comments in the post game show just now about how these losses stick with the fans much more than with the players? I wonder what he was driving at? Are we as fans overreacting? Are we out of line for being frustrated?
  17. Did anyone hear Costantini’s name called much tonight? I sure didn’t. To be fair, there were a lot of guys’ names not called much tonight.
  18. Well, folks, I’m turning this trainwreck off and going to go watch some Oprah re-runs.
  19. Last I heard, he was injured but I agree with you. Maybe he’s not the heralded high end recruit but his motor is always running and he brings an intangible to the team that can’t be taught. He brings it whenever he gets the opportunity to play.
  20. Yea, every team makes the playoffs. The rate we’re going, we’ll be on the road in the first round at somewhere like Denver or Western.
  21. How does UND drop two spots following a win and a tie on the road???
  22. What I witnessed last night at Robson was something I have not seen since toward the end of the Scotty Owens era, circa 2011 when the Tigers had the Schwartz brothers. Duluth came out looking flat and lethargic while CC was aggressive and in attack mode. Now, can they replicate that tonight?
