It's difficult to watch the Kazakhstan/Canada game, listening to those TSN announcers heap praise for team Canada. Last I checked, it was 7-0 Canada about 5 minutes into the 2nd period. USA plays Czech Republic tonight.

As much as I dislike the Bears, the way the Vikings are playing, they don't deserve to back their way into the playoffs. Let the Bears limp their way in only to lose on the road next week rather than the Vikings I say.

On the Sioux/Spartan thread, someone here requested that Duncan be put on a line with some of our smaller, better skating forwards instead of with Kozek. Well, I guess they got their wish as I see Duncan is centering a line with Fratten and Gregwoire.

Granted, I didn't see the game, I only listened to it online but it seems like Hennessey said, "the Sioux shoot just wide" or, "a Sioux pass just went behind the Sioux player" or, "the pass to a Sioux player just off his stick." I give State credit for successfully playing the game they needed to play but my god, the Sioux need to play with some heart the entire game, not just the last 5 minutes.

Sioux have no one to blame but themselves. You gotta play a full 60 minutes, not just the last 5.

Been watching the CC/Minn game. As a CC alum and fan, I can't explain what's happened to the Tigers. Over the past 6 weeks, they look like a very average team. Even Bachman can't bail them out because they can't seem to score goals.

Thanks. I went to the CC/Duluth game last night and I thought CC was going to rout the Dogs as CC scored about a minute into the game. However, to Duluth's credit, they didn't get rattled and they played a very solid game on the big ice sheet. CC, on the otherhand, I can't figure them out. They just can't seem to score goals (except against the Sioux of course).

Anyone know a score in the CC/Duluth game?

By the sounds of it, not the prettiest game for the Sioux (no thanks to the refs) but what a gut check and gritty win for the boys! They deserve to celebrate!

The players' actions and body language on the ice seem to reflect the personality of the coach. I wonder how they'd play if they had a guy behind the bench who has passion (aka Eades)? Unfortunately for Eades, he isn't married to anyone who's daddy is high up on the food chain at UND otherwhise perhaps he might have gotten the job over Hakstol.
