I always used to cheer on Canada but after observing them boo the United States at the WJ's in Grand Forks, I stopped. And this wasn't friendly good-natured booing by the fans either....and the US wasn't even playing Canada!

5-1, final team USA...nice win. Lots of controversy with team Canada...lost their captain to injury and their head coach announced his resignation this morning for "personal reasons."

Oh wait! Hilary Knight just made it 4-1 Americans!

I hope I didn't jinx them...3-1, Canada just scored. Ten minutes left in period 3.

Team USA is dominating team Canada in tonight's women's olympic exhibition game up in Calgary! 3-0, but it really should be about 6-0 for the Americans!

Off topic but am watching the women's exhibition tonight between team USA and team Canada. Wow! Entertaining game! I wish I was going to be in GF on Dec 20th to go see these two teams play!

I think a three on three would be kind of exciting and sure to lead to a winner. Playing in three on threes is a lot of fun and wide open.

Keep in mind that my "source" is just a couple of guys on my beer league team. Not sure how reliable they are but I hope they're right!

I heard the NHL might scrap the shoot out next season and go with a three-on-three sudden death OT instead. I would Love to see that! Frankly, I've been to two NCHC OT shoot outs this season (CC vs. DU and CC vs. Omaha) and I didn't find them all that exciting. Perhaps had CC won those games I might be singing a different tune but I find them rather anti-climatic.

I purchased 4 tickets for each of UND's two games January 3rd and 4th. My girlfriend and I are going but my folks can't make it. Suddenly CC's 1-10-2 record going into this weekend doesn't feel as bad after tonight's win.

I went to the CC game tonight and this is the first game I've seen all year where they played a fundamentally sound game for 60 full minutes. Archibald, Guentzel, Walters and co. were neutralized. CC attacked and crashed the net. Also, I like the point system because if you win, the 3 points can really move you up the ladder in a hurry.

Yes, there are lots of shadows. I've never skated there but some of my buddies have and they say the ice is really hard and fast.

What a bunch of crap that policy was to begin with. I'm a CC grad who was born and raised in Grand Forks, living in Denver. Why would I have any interest in attending DU athletics outside of hockey??? When DU is playing someone other than CC or UND, will occasionally go to a game if I don't have anything else going but that's on my terms. The little guy always gets hosed!

Saw the WMU/DU series. They looked good. Friday night, they had a nice 2-0 lead and had it not been for a stupid elbowing/contact to the head major followed by a minor penalty, they might have won. DU scored 4 goals in less than six minutes and that totally deflated the Broncos.

I'm going to the CC/UNO series this weekend. Expecting the worst but hoping for the best for CC. Went to the UNO/DU series a few weeks back and was very impressed with Omaha. Fun team to watch. Curious how long Owens will have his job if things continue the way they have...CC is 1-10-2.

I suppose he'd have been written out of the will had he gone to UND.

Any chance Nanne's grand kid would come to UND?

I'd like to think that the players only meeting after last night's game will result in a strong effort tonight. I'm going to say 4-3, UND.
