Holden has a pretty good podcast called Nothing But Hockey. I stumbled upon it last week when Schlossman was the guest.

I was quite satisfied with the coverage too. Wished they’d have Dave Starman on either the broadcast team or in the studio offering up analysis.

When I was out there, several Broncos fans expressed their displeasure to moving games off campus and away from Lawson arena. They are loud, crude, obnoxious and I say all of this in the most positive way. They rock the house there. Yah, Lawson is kinda dumpy by today’s standards but man, what an amazing atmosphere! Reason I got out there this season was word they were building a fancy new barn and I just had to experience the Lunatics first hand and it lived up to my expectations 100%! My wife gave me a hall pass to get out there as Lawson has been on my short list of arenas I’ve been wanting to visit.

Loved Bump’s moxy. He said during his interview between the second and third periods something to the effect of BU is soft defending.

Just read a story in Sports Illustrated that Buium logged 51:41 minutes of ice time last night, which was approximately 64% of total game time and 15 more minutes played than the player logging the second highest amount of ice time.

Yep, but Wellens omitted that part. Seriously, in reading Schlossman’s article, seeing all the pictures of Menghini as a kid decked out in Sioux gear and his quotes about being a life long fan, just makes you wonder why Berry passed on him the first time around.

Seriously. That skate to the penalty box had to have been a long one.

God, remember that penalty UND took late in the third? They reviewed it for a possible 5 minute major but ultimately determined only a 2 minute minor. I was so freaking nervous that entire period, I think I shaved some years off my life from all that anxiety.

I was impressed with Menghini the times I got to see him play on tv or live in person. I’m happy with the addition.

On the most recent Bruce Ciskie show, Matt Wellens downplayed the loss of Menghini saying he scored most of his goals last fall against Stonehill, UND, and Miami. The implication being, he padded his stats against average teams. At least that’s how I interpreted it.

God, I bet those guys would never forgive themselves had they lost that game. Badly outplayed DU for most of the game but just couldn’t extend that lead past the ever notorious 2 goal lead. And #8 Zach Nehring would have nightmares for the rest of his life about missing that wide open net early in the game. When DU tied I was like, sh*t, here we go, Denver finds ways to win big games, they’re off to the national championship.

Mbereko’s return for his senior season is likely the reason I suspect Musser entered the portal yesterday. The kid wants to play.
