I really can't see Berry bringing Albrecht back for a 5th year. Caulfield maybe. And much as I don't like the portal, that potential D corps scares me.

The conversation about recruiting to Grand Forks is not a new one. I mentioned that it is probably hard to convince recruits to come to UND several years ago due to the weather and lack of things to do. Someone replied and said we recruit a lot from Canada and the weather is something the kids are used to. At the time I think that was an accurate statement but I think we are missing out now partly because we are recruiting more American kids that don't want to suffer through North Dakota winters.

So you are referring to Hain and Senden. Hain took a stupid penalty 16 seconds into the Friday game, grabbing a guy by the head and throwing him on the ice. Then he follows that up with a dangerous slewfooting penalty for five and game. That is not the type of play that results in deserving to play. At least Senden scored. Neither should necessarily sit for the rest of the season but if the team is to be better next season the younger guys need to play. This season is toast.

Since the only way to make the tournament is to win the conference championship, it's time to sit the 5th year players and get the freshmen and sophomores that have been sitting some ice time.

I'm not going to subject myself to the Denver announcers so I'm going to listen to TH. I think I have seen a way to sync the game with the radio. How do I do that?

Military appreciation night in Omaha. They had a guy in uniform playing a guitar and singing the national anthem - and they lost the sound right as he was about to start! Didn't hear any of it. Raging incompetence!

I believe you failed to mention the excellent opportunities for 9 and 17 to move their plus/minus numbers closer to......zero

I was watching 9 on a play in the Saturday game against WMU that turned out to be an example of his lousy plus/minus rating. He was behind the play a little ways and just coasted behind it until the puck ended up in our net. I don't know if he could have caught the guy (that scored) but there was no effort to do so. Not what a 200 foot player does.

I was noticing that the "breakout" was often just flipping the puck high to center ice, and it seemed like it was Kleven every time. Must have been due to forwards out of position or well covered. I agree. And I hope 15 comes back.

I wonder if someone told Blake that there is a rule against passing the puck. Every time he had the puck last night he tried to get through every UMD player and ended up turning it over.
