I have no problem with them searching, but camping out at the student doors makes me laugh. I have never been searched or even patted down once since the arena opened and I've been to almost every game.

This was not a "defense motion" as much as it was a "prosecution motion." I believe that looking to the Justice Department in its decision to try this as a death penalty case definitely added to the delay in this trial.

I remember watching CBC's coverage of the All-Star weekend in 2004 and they did a segment on proposed rule changes and interviewed a bunch of different players, coaches, GMs and almost all of them said that they felt the chances of getting cut by a skate blade were the same no matter where you were on the ice and they wanted to see that goals off of skates should be allowed, intentional or unintentional.
