That’s all fair but I would think both Jake and Pearce are more of athletes. Maybe they both want to stick at QB though and having an offer out to both may rub one or the other wrongly. I just think they’re both kids that would find a way to find the field whether at QB or elsewhere.

So what’s the lineup assuming Tyree plays? I guess idk if he starts immediately just to get his feet back wet but would imagine he’s our starting PG. Does Eli get bumped from the starting lineup? Or does Amar? I would think Eli but idk.

This is so wild. He will be a huge boost for sure. I don’t like the precedent it sets though.

Following this could be of interest to us. I’m not sure how much longer it would still be worth Tyree even playing this year though. Assuming the sophomore class sticks together, I’d rather him join that class next year as juniors.

One thing I like seeing yesterday is the defensive efficiency. They wanted to emphasize that and it’s hard to put too much stock into it with the opponent but it’s nice to see.

One thing about these games it makes you realize even more how the NCAA needs to adopt the so many game limit thing like football does where it doesn’t burn a year.

I said the scheduling talk had been exhausted but I will bite. So now we are going to create a conference battle with a D2? I don’t like that idea. I’m fine with playing one here or there but if we started traveling there or creating this yearly challenge then why are we even D1? The Big Sky/Summit challenge is a nice step. They had a challenge with the Horizon but Covid knocked it out. I don’t want a challenge with the NSIC.

Another non-D1 game. I think we have exhausted the scheduling discussion though. At least it’s not Oak Hills Christian, who Waldorf beat 101-54.

I thought 4 was an appropriate spot. Maybe different with an eligible Ihenacho too. Basically I thought we would be fringe Tier 1 with SDSU, ORU and NDSU but instead I think we are tier 2 but closer to tier 3 than 1. All made up things in my head haha.

I’m a roller coaster of emotions when following a team so right now it feels all doom and gloom going forward. As I step back, I think we are fine but I don’t think we will finish where I want us to. While shooting is an issue, defense is our biggest issue. We have the athletes and length to be a good defensive team, minus maybe inside.

What are you hoping? The gophers call bubba? That’s quite the dream.

As head coach? Didn’t they name their head coach right when Bohl retired?

Must have been a walk-on with the Gophers? Trying to look and I just see offers from St. Thomas and Valpo out of high school.

How hard would it be for the athletic department to treat basketball like they care about it? Couple big misses stick out to me: - no band? Are you kidding me? The weather was bad today, yes, but the band had no issue making it to hockey. - entice the students to come to basketball by offering priority seating. Students were camping out to get into hockey, why not say hey you come to basketball you get first entrance into the Ralph? They used to do that when I was there. Just don’t get it.

Hey he’s 6’11”! Also, we lose T so really would just have Mathews and Erikson. Not saying those are great options but we need to find one. Maybe Hurlburt is just at a level too high?

I said to my buddy today that Hurlburt will be with UND next year.
