I have no idea. Nearly everyone became BBQ chicken with McBride on Thursday. Mara’s not ready. If you want Brooks over Brady, I’m fine with that but not Mara.
-
Did you watch on Thursday? Brady had an awesome game in the minutes he got. Also, Mara should have redshirted. Guys raw.

Line has flipped and UND is actually -1.5 now.

UND continues to get back on track with a pretty dominant win over Oral Roberts. Score was closer than it should have been but they won by double digits in the end. Now the surprise of the conference so far comes to town in Denver. Denver is led by senior guard and the nations leading scorer, Tommy Bruner (#0) averaging 24.8ppg, 4.3apg and 2.7rbg he’s also fifth in the nation in usage percentage. After that, Touko Tainamo (#25) comes in averaging 17.5ppg and 8.7rpg and Jaxson Brenchley (#23) averages 10.2ppg and 5.4rpg. Good opportunity for UND to get a huge win to continue momentum. KenPom has Denver winning this 81-77 but Vegas only has UND as 1 point dogs. Get to the Betty and support the team!

Eli’s a hard nosed player. Always seems to end up off balance when dribbling though. I am super happy with the win but man we left so many points on the floor. Honestly should have been a 20+ point drumming.
-
Good win boys! Tyree and BJ were awesome. Brady had some awesome classic Brady plays. Fun to win!
-
This felt a bit reassuring to see.
-
Yes. Coned off section is for passes but otherwise free.
-
Oh damn, I knew I was a DeBoer guy so glad to see this!
-
I think I’m a Pike guy too. Gotta attach myself now so that when we look back in 10 years and Pike is taking over Bama I will be on the right side of history Hope Jake is a fantastic hire though.
-
I think I am putting too much stock into his second year offense regression at St. Thomas. Interesting situation there with being so new to D1 and the non-scholarship thing. Think he was probably the best of the names I heard. I was interested in Karson Pike from Bemidji but the OC at Bemidji probably wouldn’t get people too excited either.
-
I’m saying take the name out and his résumé doesn’t get me that excited.

UND finally got the money off their back with a road win over KC. Now we turn the page and host big bad Oral Bob. ORU isn’t what they were when they had Max Abmas but they’re no slouch. They’re now led by Isaac McBride (#10) averaging 19.2ppg, 3.2rbg and 2.8apg. After that you have Kareem Thompson (#2) averaging 12.8ppg, 6.3rpg and 3.6apg. Deshang Weaver (#14) is a tough player to guard but always seems to be battling injuries. KenPom has ORU taking this one 76-74. BartTorvik gives them the 76-75 edge. Vegas agrees with Ken. You can catch the game on the Summit League Network but don’t forget it’s $1 dog night!

This is what I’ve been trying to get at. He may end up successful but a blind resume isn’t that appealing, imo.
-
Is Jake a really good recruiter like Danny? Rah-rah type or more reserved? Pound the rock offense? I remember his playing days a bit but he wasn’t as successful as a starter, which doesn’t mean you can’t be a great coach. Just trying to get a read on what we are getting.
-
Think we will hear soon.

Owning Minnesota is key to success for UND, in my opinion. So much talent there, it’s crazy. Gotta get the ND kids too but the MM-D1 talent in state isn’t as vast.
-
Klabo’s recruiting surge I feel like has fallen off. He seemed destined for P5 but just can’t stay healthy. Perfect player for us to go all in for.
-
True! Aanen Moody was a Bison family too.
-
Yeah…. Bison family. Would be a next to impossible pull but who knows.
-
Believe you’re talking about Tommy Ahmeman? Picked up an offer from Portland when they were this way.
-
Frank White and Douglas Munksi absolute legends. Just about minored in geography with how many Munski classes I took.
-
Help me get excited about Jake Landry. I’m not saying he won’t be good but what’s so appealing about him? If he wasn’t a former QB here and a local guy, would we be excited? Maybe it’s just the best of a bad situation, idk.
-
So from Tom Miller’s list, would we be excited about any of these? Feel like Landry would move the needle for some. I’d say he’s done okay at St Thomas but nothing earth shattering. I think people would be pretty bummed with King. That’s not to say he wouldn’t be a good OC but just the lack of experience and it feels like he’s not that well known even though he’s been around for a while. Karson Pike, Bemidji OC, is interesting to me. Bemidji has been pretty good lately and his offense have been good too averaging 38 in 2018, 30 in 2019, 34 in 2021, 37 in 2022 and 30 in 2023.

I thought something changed where they only have to disclose finalists or maybe they don’t even have to do that now?
