Gotta kill the clock but can’t sacrifice good shots too. -

Was anyone able to watch? Not sure if a stream was available I just listened but it sounded like from the radio that UND was not playing within the offense at least in the first half (that’s all I listened to, couldn’t do it any longer). It just sounded like players were trying to get theirs once they touched the ball. Not a whole lot of organized offense. Defense is obviously atrocious. -
Would be cool if they did a happy hour thing or some sort of beer/drink special. Could help create a rowdier environment too, just can’t get too rowdy.

Yeah I don’t think there’s any reason to necessarily increase the size of the Betty but I do wish the bleachers were replaced with something more permanent and moved closer to the play. Feel like we could make the Betty a more on top of you feeling. I know the practice facility would have to come first for this though.

Well your comment was in response to a prospective recruit so I guess that’s why I responded with where our current recruiting class is from and not on their talent.

As much as I want us to be a landing spot for P5 drop downs, I think this is the approach that needs to be done. A Joe Hurlburt or maybe a Treyton Thompson type P5 drop down could happen with both being somewhat local. Find some diamonds in the rough in JUCO/HS and make this a more desirable place to play with winning and more P5 may be interested.

I do believe they think they have a real good shot at landing him.

Yeah I feel like he could be an instant contributor. Not sure why he’s been jumping schools. But like you said, good to see the other offers.

I think our best bet is Saul Phillips takes another leap and it opens the head coaching position back at Northern. I think they’d take him back.

I’m of the opinion that Sather could figure it out but it’s time to move on. Let everyone leave, I don’t care. Let’s just restart. Best for UND and probably best for Sather, tbh. -

Matt Norman my goodness. Think doubling Nelson would be smart. Guy does not want to go left at all though but still getting what he wants. -

Probably right. I was thinking Omot’s length but yeah not sure it would be enough. -

Mathews on Morgan? T on Nelson? Wonder if Omot could guard Nelson a bit? -

I’m a naive homer but there’s absolutely no reason this shouldn’t stay close. I wouldn’t say NDSU has an immense talent advantage. Nelson and Morgan are good. Wheeler-Thomas is progressing. I’m not saying we will win but if we see something like the first matchup that is pathetic. -
No there was an issue with eligibility I believe. The plan was to come here but it didn’t work out.

Let’s say Sather isn’t fired right after the season and then 2 of Omot, Brooks and Eaglestaff enter the portal? Are those that are wanting to keep Sather still in that camp? If they all stay, we may be onto something if Herbst crushes the recruiting trail but if they leave we are back to an empty cupboard with no highly sought after recruits coming in.

Think there’s plans to add a practice facility too for the Betty, right? I guess probably nothing concrete but I know it’s been talked about. If that happened I think they could renovate the Betty a bit to have a more intimate feel. The bleachers to me seem like they’re way too far away from the baseline and they’re tiny high school like bleachers.

You deleted your post saying something to the effect of “you’re judging our program based off 10 year old kids giving them high fives…. Really?” To “not a good look for our program!” Maybe it’s a bit tongue in cheek but odd change.

The job only has to be open for 3 days minimum.

Better financial pool, better finalist pool.

I’m not even trying to defend Sather. Was just pointing out a now successful head coach with a similar start at his current program although Scott Drew’s came with some different hurdles at Baylor at the time.
