  1. UND is streaking again. Really that’s all this season has been. Last time out, they were able to put a pretty dominant effort out against St. Thomas, impressive given what happened in late December. Now we are on to South Dakota. USD’s two conference wins are against two of the top teams in the Summit coming into the year. First, they had a pretty dominant road win against NDSU led by # 1 Kaleb Stewart putting up 33 and then they also beat St. Thomas in Verm. They also should have beat Denver, in Denver, but lost in 2OT and our old friend, Paul Bruns, was a big part of the L. Besides that, they’ve sucked. Lost every other game by 14+. KenPom is predicting a 75-74 win for us. BartTorvik says 74-73 win. Vegas has UND -1.5. Catch the game on Summit League Network.
  2. Refer to my most recent post.
  3. I have no problem with coaches leaving to pursue better opportunities and more specifically in the FBS. Right now, we are seeing coaches taking the same or lesser jobs within the FCS and even our own conference. Do we not strive to be the best? Are we fine with being an average to slightly above average program? That’s certainly not what I want.

  5. Idk for sure. Heard NDSU but also heard Montana.
  6. Trust me.
  7. I haven’t seen any announcement yet but I believe so.
  8. So who’s going to be the o-line coach?
  9. If all things are equal, you’re probably going to give the edge to your own. It’s the way it works in all industries.
  10. Well now the OC is filled, think we still have at least one position coach to fill…..
  11. Hey not the worst thing in the world, if you win, I’m pretty sure that you get the same payout as winning a game in any other round. Think it’s something like $2million per win for the conference.
  12. I’m pretty jealous of it though. I like the Betty but I want that bowl setting. They also actually have courtside seating. They used to do that occasionally at the Betty, iirc.
  13. I’ve been once. Pretty nice. Feel like they never have a good crowd though unless SDSU is there. Verm’s a dump.
  14. Gotta not have a letdown game in Verm on Thursday. Think the squad has a lot to play for with the whole Bruns think but don’t want them looking ahead to Red Panda on Saturday.
  15. KenPom has it at 22. Was 24 last year.

    Who's Next?

I don’t think it will be Pike, although I’m a fan. If you’re disappointed in Bemidji State, I think this one’s current school will disappoint as well.
  17. Hell of a win! Let’s go boys!
  18. Frick TE
  19. I woke up and am still pissed. Billy’s going to just go around acting like this is fine. Hockey beat Denver so the athletic department is right where he wants it to be.
  20. I thought bill chaves was going to be the guy. He’s not. New blood. This is a disaster. Still wasn’t excited about Landry. Hope Pike’s the choice but idk. Bad look.
  21. I want to agree with this but also feel like it would be the wrong time. They’d make some poor decision like promoting Dosch to HC or something. Wouldn’t be external.
  22. Pike was the right choice anyways. Good riddance.
  23. UND has started to turn it around and on a 3 game win streak but can they keep the streak going against one of the best teams in the Summit, St. Thomas? If the first meeting is any indication of how this one will go, probably not. Hard to say if they’ll win this, but I have to imagine they’ll at least play better. UST is led by #5 Parker Bjorklund, #24 Raheem Anthony and #1 Kendall Blue. That’s on the court. I think they’re actually led by Johnny Tauer. This team has some good players but they’re far from the most talented team in the Summit. Tauer has built something special there going back to the D3 days and was impressively able to carry it forward to D1. He’s recruited the right players that completely buy into their role and the style. If I was a P5 AD, I would try to poach him but I think he may want to ride this thing out with UST and see how far he can lead them. Anyways, KenPom is predicting UND to lose this one 74-64. BartTorvik thinks it will be even worse, 74-61. No Vegas line yet.
  24. Sounds like our boy Bruns missed some FTs to clinch the game in regulation or the first OT and then also stopped running to the ball (Bruner grabbed the !@#$ out of his jersey but still) on the TO at the end when Denver hit the 3. Just makes me smile.
