I agree. I was a big Walthall promoter the last few years but now that there is actually an opportunity I would be cautious. I think he’d still be a great hire but right now my top candidate would be Coach G.

A name that I haven’t seen mentioned here until Tom’s article is Ben Johnson (assistant at Xavier). I really like coaches with the Minneapolis connections because that has to be our main source of recruiting. Also mentions Herbst as a Bubba like hire.

I have to imagine we will see some attrition although that’s to be expected nearly every year it seems. I don’t believe they just get a free pass to leave and play immediately though if they transfer at the D1 level. Edit: I will trust what @SWSiouxMN says on this one.

I disagree with that. Idalski still had a winning record at UND while both Jones and Mussman are at about the 47% winning pct.

Yeah I believe he is still going to take reps at QB but the way Tom talked it just made it seem he could really make an impact at WR and may stick.

Listening right now. The way they’re talking really makes it seem like Boltmann will likely be able to stick at WR and probably not make the return back to QB. I’m excited to see him play.
