Well that's no good.

Agreed, don't want to put words in his mouth, but I assume it was based on how UND had played thus far, and how NDSU had played thus far. Though different teams seemed to show up. It was a different UND team and a different NDSU team on Saturday. One played to win, and one didn't. That being said, I would be really interested to see these two team meet in the playoffs. I would have to imagine you would seem a different look that this past Saturday. That being said, short of our D-Line drinking some Moo Juice and growing overnight, I don't know how they would stop the run.

It has been stated at nauseum that Tommy is a QB who won't win you games, but won't lose them either. Confirmed on Saturday. Tommy didn't cost us the game with bad plays, though the INT was ugly. He didn't play great, but also didn't get much help from play calling or his receivers. I have far bigger concerns from our performance over Tommy. That being said, I have wanted to see them throw a wrinkle with Quincy playing for often since week 1. We have been up in enough games to give him some playing time. This gives your offense a new dynamic and develops depth. What happens if Tommy gets hurt now or in the playoffs? We have no real experience to put in! Have to get this kid in and let him play more than running on 4th and 1. Need to get him a few series and let him open the playbook a little.

Well, AIC's resume is less than impressive. That being said, they don't get to pick who they play, they just have to play the schedule. They did, and they did it well. Now this game should not even be close, but we saw what happened against Canisius the other year, and we have see what happened with AIC a few years ago against St Cloud and we all certainly remember Holy Cross. Take the game serious, leave no doubt, and pound these guys! Score early and score often!

Seems short sighted, but it looks like a subscription to espn3/espn+ will be required. Maybe they think they will get more viewers for volleyball or lacrosse, but again seems like a big mistake not to put UND hockey on regular cable. regardless, smoke AOC! I mean AIC!!!

You seem pretty spot on with your points, and thanks for not being an jerk like some of the Bison fans here. I would love to see another matchup again the Bison in the playoffs, IF we can learn from our own mistakes. You are correct that Weah needs more touches, and Schuster needs to make better decisions on when to run. He isn't a speedy runner, but he is capable when the opportunities are there. I guess a loss this weekend makes for a more interesting finish to the MVFC season.

agreed. I think SU put more on the run than the pass, and I don't think it is only that UND didn't have the guys to play the passing game, they just didn't play it. Belquist has speed and has proven to be a young talent. Maag is extremely talented, but just doesn't seem to play up to his size. Preston will be good, and has shown flashes, but is not a burner. WR talent is there; I don't know if they need to be pushed harder, or what the deal is, but we should have been able to pass more. Even if we had Boltman, he isn't going to burn anybody, he is just tough and shift.

Agreed, we should see a better NDSU team in the fall, but I would also argue, you should see a better UND team. Our O-line was not the problem, but our D-Line needs to add some weight and figure it out. You are correct in questioning how Weah doest get more carries in that game. He was playing fine ... might have gotten stuffed here and there, but also broke some plays and should have had more chances. Skokna has a place in the offense as a change of pace back, and more to the outside, also should have fielded all of the kickoffs. Nothing personal against Gee, but he just doesn't have that extra talent the others have. Got out played; and while we may not have been outcoached by Entz. We outcoached ourselves. Self destruction with some of the game plan and decisions. 1 game, time to move on. Playoffs are still very much in play. The Valley championship is still very much in play. Hope to beat the Bison next year.

True, everyone has them. We have a bunch of them too, especially in the hockey crowd. I've seen some of the college kids lay into a dad and daughter (probably 4 years old) when the Gophers came to town. Also spoke with a very nice Bison fan, who is also a Packer fan, and went to a game at US Bank stadium. Vikings fans basically terrorized the guy for four quarter, who just wanted to see the stadium and watch the game. Some people really suck. These people have nothing to do with college or team affiliation, they are just piece of s h i t human beings. There is no changing them. It is sad, but a big reminder about what is more important in life, and it is not football or sports.

A few observations: - Bubba and Danny seemed to move away from what has worked so far. I was very disappointed in the game plan. Didn't establish the run, and even when it started working, we didn't stick with it. Then we started running Otis out a few times and Skokna between the tackles. Lack of creativity and far different play calling from the first few games. -Belquist is a dude, and he is going to be good. -Maag is talented, but needs to man up. -D Line is not bad, they are undersized. -We can't throw a deep ball, and we seem to have issues defending it as well. -Zeb Noland is trash, Miller is ok. -NDSU will be much more successful if their O-Line plays like today. They were big and they were impressive. - Luepke is a monster of a load to take down, but especially behind their line. That being said, our tackling was high and horrendous today. -Schuster was not great, but also not the biggest problem today. This team needs to put it behind them. It hurts as a fan, knowing we could have knocked off the Bison for the first time in forever, but it will happen eventually. Eyes on the real prize. We could still win the Valley and we can still make a playoff run. Get back to what we were doing and move forward.
