  1. Yeah, I'm not prepared to say 1 game completely changes the landscape of fcs football, but it does add some intrigue to the league and certainly won't help NDSU long term. A good UND season is far from setting ourselves up for a decade of success, but it is a step in the right direction. A sweep over the Dakota schools, combined with an overall different kind of season for NDSU can help level the playing field a bit on recruiting, but the Bison are still the Bison. You don't erase a decade of success with 1 bad season. The way I see it, NDSU has two opportunities: First, you can turn the season around starting tomorrow and make a run. Second, you turn this thing around in the Fall, and if you are successful there, then this spring is quickly forgotten. On the flip side, if you see a bad spring and a bad fall season, you will likely have a new coach, and lose some significant recruiting ground, especially in the region.
  2. Could someone drop this on bisonville? Some heads would explode and El Chapo would have a complete meltdown. If anyone wants to go to the game, apparently he can't find anyone to even give his tickets away to. Apparently #2 vs #4 is the equivalent of playing Drake for him. Its just too funny how upset someone can get over their rival (oh, I'm not supposed to say that) getting a little bit of success.
  3. Yeah, fall of 03 was my freshman year. Which is why I wasn’t sure. I was a gopher fan back then and didn’t care about D2 football. Then my eyes were opened!
  4. Between football and hockey, this is a really fun spring to be a UND fan! A win against the Bison should move UND to #1. The BC loss last night moves UND back to #1. When is the last time both hockey and football were ranked #1 teams?
  5. Interesting. I know Stoney was clear this is not the MM situation, but this year reiterated what we already knew. This team is far bigger than any 1 guy. MM would have been a nice talent, but the team is perfectly fine without him. I don't care who it is, I don't ever want to see the wrong kind of guy in this program. It can tear a team and a program apart. If a guy is going to put on the UND sweater, he better be prepared to buy into the system.
  6. The kid has some sweet dangles too, love when he pulls the big toe drag.
  7. Big IF, but IF we were to need some short term depth at defense, or any position, there will likely be a lot of skilled transfers available due to the Covid rule.
  8. How good will Sanderson be if he stays another year. Watching him play is truly a treat. I haven't seen a guy step up into the offense like that for a while ... probably since Genoway, and as much as I liked Genoway .... those two should not be compared from a skill perspective. I hope to see him jump into the offense more and more this year, and hopefully into next season as well.
  9. Stop trying to be reasonable. We can't allow that kind of rational thinking on here. The Sioux name and anything relating to it must be erased from history. The ultra sensitive snowflakes will get their feelings hurt and then the Ralph will need to add a safe space room somewhere in the arena. Go Sioux!
  10. uh oh, is this similar to the MM type character issues?
  11. Alabama plans for it ... I though NDSU was basically the same?!?! Just joking, of course
  12. Curious what your thoughts are on Entz? Do think his style, methods, attitude may cause some issues with the players? I obviously don't know the guy, but have never been as impressed with him as I have with Kliemann or Bohl. Entz has seemed to have this bit or arrogance to him that I don't care for. Maybe I'm off base with that.
  13. I was going to say, not sure what he would have had to do to be in the doghouse. Didn't is net a few the other night.
  14. Not sure about Mesa, but I was just in Scottsdale for the past week. Hiked Camelback Mountain while wearing my UND shirt and got about 5 "Go Sioux!" comments on the way down. Also ran into some Yotes fans at the top.
  15. These kids may want to look at a different career path. It is like these two went on to Wikipedia to learn about football before immediate going on air to do PxP and color commentary. This is just absurd. It reminds me of the Big Bang Theory episode where Leonard learns about football rules so he can try to watch a game with Penny and her friends, then spews out the rules word for word. Wasn't there a radio simulcast they could have used?
  16. OMG when I watched part of the game this past weekend, I was traveling and watched on my phone muted ... Just starting to rewatch now, and the commentary is even worse than I expected based on the comments here. Are there no standards to this stuff? This is like the "boom goes the dynamite" level of crap.
  17. The Grady Train! He still has some eligibility left!
  18. Not saying NDSU still isn't a good team, but name another team (other than possible UNI) that would be ranked this high after the thumping they took to SIU? Whether we lose to them, or beat them. The W/L resumes are far different right now, which is what rankings should be based on.
  19. So they can spend another 3 years in the basement, not throwing to their tight ends?
  20. This cannot be a close game. UND needs to get rolling from the first drive and never look back. I'm sure we will be able to get the run game going, but we need to start connecting on some of those deep passes that we have missed. Get the W, and build the momentum going into Fargo.
  21. Still makes no sense to have the Bison at #2. Haley is playing historical data here, which is completely irrelevant. It is almost like he is trying to setup for a crazy UND/NDSU matchup .... this is why polls are dumb. Undefeated team at 3. Team with 1 loss at 2, and that once loss was a blowout to the team ranked number 3. Team names aside, the math doesn't add up.
  22. Tychonich is kind of an a$$
  23. Who unplugged the cord?
