Uff seriously? Yeah that's what he meant. He doesn't like Canadians and Europeans. Or womens sports. Jeez. What an off-base, out of context comment. Cmon Cratter.
-
Despite late FBS offers, Larson is a UND lock.
-
There was more backlash from baseball than there would ever be for womens hockey. Guaranteed. Way more people cared about baseball being cut. There was a history and a ton of alums who care.
-
Backlash from who though? Another presumptuous fallacy.
-
LOL. What? Is this mythical person going to do it on an annual basis for as long as necessary? Old MacDonald doesn't have enough money for that, sorry.
-
Because he was given bad information, just like Ed Schafer.

I think there's potential that swimming and diving might get a shot in the arm because of the Summit. This is purely conjecture, but who knows if that was a caveat for joining the Summit maybe? Womens soccer is fully funded on schollies (12 I believe) but is a drop in the bucket budget-wise compared to WH. I cant recall the total budgets for soccer and womens S&D combined, but Id imagine WH is more. You probably know my answer.
-
Understood. But it's so bad in the red with no ROI is my point.
-
The Ralph loses money on Womens Hockey. They'd be more profitable without it. With our Olympian twin sisters, who are/were great, we didn't even make the final 4 did we? Correct me if I' wrong. That was the peak. There is zero chance of revenue potential. How would you offset 2 million dollars of operating budget when you are bringing in around $20,000 or so in revenues? Title IX is not an issue for cutting womens hockey. Fallacy. It can be done. I promise. Who are these big contributors? There are none. Not even Marvin Windows. Who else?

Our DC Eric Schmidt.

Just want to state this again...
-
Hence, UND is, has been and always will be the "flagship" university in the state of North Dakota. By most all measures.
-
The Citadel always seems to play well against SEC competition. They beat South Carolina 2 years ago I believe.
-
I believe hes going to Maine.

You trying to "one-up" Bison Dan or what? Good job bud. Thumbs up.
-
Dan, what's it like being................... ....you?
-
Yes that is correct. I'm aware of the gindorff commitment. He's 40 minutes down the road from me. Then they offered Zeke Ott this week as a TE. Ndsu offered him.
-
Ha! Yep, good point.
-
Listen dummy... ndsu offered Zeke Ott a scholarship. Not as a DE. As a TE. Zeke told them no. Now take a lap. EDIT: Because Zeke said no to ndsu, it appears that the "next man up" for ndsu could be USD TE commit Jensen from Wayzata.

Got me to laugh out loud.

There was absolutely disappointment from that aspect from many here, including myself. The timeframe was ridiculous. I agree. I'm saying many here were very disappointed that Bubba was the choice, regardless of the time frame. Jamie Marshall, Jeff Mills, Robin Pflugrad etc. "New Blood" with "D1 head coaching experience". Some were even giving Deboer more time than Bubba to turn it around because he was a UND guy. In a siouxports.com poll, 60% favored Kalen over Bubba here. "With Bubba it's 3 years.." I love the fact that you can search the forum archives here.

Im just asking again because I never got an answer 8 days ago. My understanding was that his theory was based on UND not going Summit/MVFC. That it would NEVER happen. I'm honestly just wondering if this changes his thought process but I havent heard anything yet.
-
I remember the day Bubba was named head coach. I wont name names, but many here were so disappointed and upset that the national search had yielded Bubba Schweigert. Turns out "Lowell Schweigert's circle of friends and influence" were right in the end. I'm guessing and hoping the end result for UND in the Summit/MVFC will be similar. We will see. I hope I'm right.
-
Ok what now, SiouxVolley? If it becomes official today after the vote, what happens?
-
Did we just close the doors on the University or change from the Big Sky Conference to the Summit/MVFC? Some pros, some cons. Some losses, some gains. Overall it's a net gain in my opinion and we have some opportunities now we didn't have before. I understand and respect the frustration by some here who had personal preferences for the BSC. I even agree with some of them. However, this is the BEST move for UND right now given all the variables in my dumbass opinion.
