One poster is offended that we call them an "average FCS program". Uh, what do you think ISU is? As far as an overall program goes "average" is probably being kind.

Idalski didn't ruin the program, it was terrible before he took over and he made it a bit better. It was never great.

That is how you took it. Read again at the top of this page. If you don't get vaxxed IDGAF. If my favorite team has to forfeit because several unvaxxed players got dinged and sucked in close contacts or were close contacts then IGAF. This is a football thread, not a GF life thread.

Not sure what was so controversial about my post. The player who decided he doesn't need the vaccine can ONLY hurt the team. He cannot help the team by refusing it. That is a legit 2021 season talking point that doesn't need to be deleted.

Fascinating how people can defend themselves not getting vaccinated. What do they know that everyone else doesn't? In this particular case it's pretty clear that if not vaccinated their are rules in place that harm the program.

Back in the day people severely overestimated how it would work to "go D1". They related it to playing North Carolina in basketball, Texas in baseball - every year. Not the Summit League and FCS football. Then UND went and beat UNI in 2006 and people figured it out pretty quick that it wasn't Alabama and Ohio State. Which is why I say now that leaving to go FBS and play in the MWC is not that big of a deal and would be very underwhelming for any FCS fanbase. The most excitement would in the first 4 non-conference games.
