I see Kansas State is picked 7th in the Big 12 next year (out of 10 teams). Can you guys just admit/laugh about the the fact that Gene Taylor has the magic touch when it comes to scheduling FBS games? Its almost unbelievable how it works out. They go from Top 5 in the country to 7th in the Big 12 (out of 10 teams).

Look at the play by play from the moment that Taylor got hurt and left the game. Their defense quit after that play. They were doing great until he got hurt and I don't think they ever forced a punt again. Not saying anything about NDSU, just pointing out a sign of a mentally weak team that they would give up like that. NDSU just crushed them in 2nd half.

They pounded SH in second half. SH basically gave up. They were never the same after there all american safety went down.

Yes I would have liked to see NDSU play a good, solid FBS team like that. Wouldn't you - as an NDSU fan? NDSU has been the favorite in their last two FBS games, which is almost unheard of.

Average? They were 9-4 overall and won the Alamo Bowl. They ended the year ranked #21 in the country. They would be BY FAR the best team NDSU had ever played.

That topic has been covered a million times. UND was in the playoffs and had multiple home playoff games from 2001 to 2007, with 2002 being the only year they did not reach the playoffs. Those first round games were boring matchups that were repeats from previous years (see Winona State). The fans did not care to see those same doormats every year in the first couple rounds. Also, that was the D2 days and the hype is a weeee bit bigger now. When NDSU won the NC, it assured they would sell out every game from then on until they started losing again.

Defense is not exclusive to a league or leagues. The offense's in those leagues have something to do with it. We just saw the second best team in the MVFC go out to EWU and get 51 hung on them. Last year UNI was the second best team from the "defensive" MVFC and they got 50 hung on them by Montana. When half of the offense's in your league are inept, your defense is going to look good.

Enthusiasm. Oh, and now that the game is over and UND lost I wanted to add this: UND is garbage this year, both teams are not going to do anything and the game was awful. The win proves nothing for NDSU since UND is so bad. Atmosphere was terrible.
