That team didn't need to grind on draws.  They could let the other team work their butts off and just go pick their pocket.

Yep. If we lost the draw, Nick Schmaltz would just chase them down, lift the stick, take the puck and go the other direction with it...only saw that happen 6-7 times a game.

That statement tells me you don't fully understand NIL.

"WE" (meaning UND) can't do that.

Feel free to start the NIL collective for UND Hockey (and Football).

    https://www.on3.com/nil/news/what-are-nil-collectives-and-how-do-they-operate/

All of our players who ran camps this summer were taking advantage of the NIL rules.

I know Frisch, Kleven, and Caufiled all ran camps and several other players worked the camps with them.

Notice anything missing on their websites?

    Ethan Frisch Hockey Academy | Moorhead, MN | May 31 - June 2, 2022

Caulfield Hockey Development | Grand Forks, ND | June 6-10, 2022

Tyler Kleven Hockey Camp | West Fargo, ND | June 13-15, 2022

More UND fans are willing to drive an hour for a game than JAcks fans are willing to drive 3 hours for a game.  Heck, they can barely fill their own stadium!!

(But I see the point you are making, and yes I make sure my Bison fans friends realize this) :D

Not too mention that there probably the same number of UND and NDSU grads living in Fargo.

They truly are great fans. Was at a game when Erstad was their punter, the year they were National Champs

Long time Husker fan going back to I.M. Hipp. Been to 4 games in Lincoln over the years. Will have to try and make it for UND's return trip as I am running a National Softball Tournament that weekend in Fargo.

i don't think that was stanford...wasn't it one block north of uni around the ATO alley area or something?

Yes. It was about 30 yards from our side door at ATO.  Cambridge Street.

It was the basement VD if I recall on campus. That place was tiny.

It was better know as "The Sweat" due to the "heart" in the neon "Sweatheart Bakery" sign being burned out.

    Jesus worked there.

Good luck finding a millennial who is counting on social security existing when they retire. They understand that they have been the blood boys for the boomers via social security and student loans.

You’ll enjoy it. Fabulous place to watch football, fun college town/downtown area, great fan base.

Live band Karaoke with Shithook at The Zoo bar is always interesting.

I intend to enjoy in person our game at Lincoln. I would enjoy more a win but will  enjoy and represent no matter.

I have been to 5 games in Lincoln as a long time Husker fan. Would have loved to make the trip for this one but I have to run a National Softball Tournament in Fargo that weekend.

Michaels/Hanson on the old 740 was called "dumb and dumber" by me.

i remember the original start when they were in the studio in North Moorhead. A couple local shows and then several national shows Like Jim rome and The Fabulous Sports Babe(Rich Guy on a cell phone) among others.

Roger Degerman whose show was alright as long as he had people calling in and David Moulton who was talented enough that he could carry a radio show for 4 hours without a phone call if he had to.

Jealous of NDSU’s success on the field ? Yes

jealous of Jeff culhane and the TV and radio broadcasts? Hell no!

jeff now gets to see what it is like to play second fiddle to the best team in the state…..

but thanks for reading the UND fan board……..

Culhane is a very good play by play announcer for multiple sports and that is why he got the opportunity to move up to Florida State.

His radio show is Shannon McQuade/Derek Hanson level of an unlistenable trainwreck(for those who remember the early days of sports radio in Fargo/Moorhead). Not sure if he will be doing a similar show in Florida.

  13. There seems to be a sudden and unexplained use of the term sudden and unexplained in media?

A search of news stories shows that prior to 1/1/2020 the phrase had been used about 8100 times and since 1/1/2020 it has been used 184,000 times.

    hmm?

I could've sworn, didn't someone offer UND some money to start an endowment and was denied by the president at the time. Or maybe I am dreaming?

I believe it was the other way around.  UND told them the number required  and they balked.

I did hear UND Baseball was denied.
