Don't disagree but something about glass houses comes to mind. This place isn't exactly a bastion of reason and logic.
Which is why I have proposed relegation.

Well Bohl had spent 1 year there but it had been 20 years prior so he was definitely bringing a fresh approach. Also once on a championship roll it certainly makes more sense to stick with things. I don't see the situations as the same.
And both Bohl and Klieman left them in a tough spot although they both handled it a little differently but they needed to hire a coach immediately.
Klieman has coached for 19 years at different locations prior to NDSU. Entz had coached for 16 years at diffrent locations prior to NDSU.

Wow am I glad we got 3 points
The only reason it was acceptable to kick a FG there is because we were not smart enough to do the math after the touchdown we scored at end of first half.

When they eventually hire the next coach, the key question you ask the coaches interviewing for the job "where do you see yourself in 5-6 years?" If his answer gives any indication that he would still be coaching at UND he should no longer be considered for the job.

Drawing plays out of a hat.

Is Belquist injured or are we just using him sparingly today?

Isn’t it a standard NCAA practice now, so it is consistent throughout college hockey? Agree it’s pointless.

I thought a minor penalty was not reviewable. Too many complicated rules that just facilitate more reviews.
The penalty isn't which is why they didn't call one....but on goals apparently it is challengeable.

How can they review this after the period ended
If it was a major, the clock would go back to that point in the game. Who were they reviewing penalty on?

He was on his 5th year.
He actually redshirted his first season at Ohio State where one of his teammates that season would have been Jagger's older brother and current Vancouver Canuck, Dakota Joshua.

I'd settle for a close shave, as long as we come out on top.
They really pack it in on D...some of those sauce passes are going to have to be right on the landing strip.

In a round about way you could almost say that UND got Holy Crossed....Weber should have been the 6 seed and Samford and UIW would have been the 7 and 8 and Holy Cross should have been unseeded. The Eastern Powers getting their way cost Weber a bye and cost us a home game.

Regionalization (one of the rules they did follow) is why our game funnels into Montana St.
Since they didn't get the 8 seed, and bye/home game, they were effectively the 9 seed and were handed a home game.Weird how they aren't traveling to SEMO then. Since you know, performance and all that.
With regionalization and allowing teams to buy their way into the playoffs and changing criteria on a whim the NCAA has basically seeded the tournament as follows
#17 St. Francis(9-2) at #16 Delaware(7-4)
#18 Davidson(8-3) at #15 Richmond(8-3)
#19 SEMO(9-2) at #14 Montana(7-4)
20 UND(7-4) at #13 Weber State(9-2)
#21 Garner-Webb(6-5) at #12 Eastern Kentucky(7-4)
#22 Idaho(7-4) at #11 SE Lousianna(8-3)
#23 Elon(8-3) at #10 Furman(9-2)
#24 Fordham(9-2) at #9 New Hampshire(8-3)

Both things can be true.

It sounds like we did actually outbid them. But Weber was awarded the game based on performance. If that’s the case they should have just been seeded.
They should have been seeded no lower than 6th.

so here are the reasons I have heard..
- Nichols got a bunch of money from their conference.. Doesnt the MVFC give some money? Seems like an odd excuse
- Weber state got the home game because the "should" have been seeded.
Both of those reasons sound like crap to me and just more reasons for us to be ok with a mediocre effort on our part. I dont think we are nearly as unlucky as people would try to say to somehow take the spotlight off a failure by the AD to get a home playoff game. I would hate to hear the excuses that would come out if we were matched up with a school that actually had money to bid.. instead we are left with conjecture about back room deals and somehow trying to justify losing to a school without locker rooms and another school that doesnt match our attendance.
I dont know why Im so annoyed by this.. but this is the second year we have had a good opportunity to help change the trajectory of the program and host some home playoff games. Im not a hockey versus other sports guy.. but we roll out the red carpet for the hockey team in vegas and all of the regionals.. we cant even beat out bids from 2nd tier schools in football for a home playoff game.
It wasn't a secret about The Southland conference enhancing their playoff teams bids. Villanova who was 9-2 in 2019 also surprisingly had to travel to SE Lousianna for a playoff game that they lost 45-44. The Southland Commissioner said they wanted to give their conference teams every opportunity to have the best chances for success in the playoffs. UND was an independent that season.

Chaves on radio now... sounds like he thinks und had highest bid and Weber is hosting potentially based on other criteria.
Criteria being that Weber should have been the #6 seed but they had to appease the East Coast teams so they will give them a home game.

I know "fans" that would have traveled for a post Thanksgiving Saturday FB/hockey doubleheader. Now they'll watch hockey at home.
......and I know some who are set on going to hockey regardless that would've taken in FB prior.
BOO CHAVES
I was even peaking at the UND Site about an hour before the selection show in case they put the tickets up early to buy Football tickets as I figured there was no way our Athletic Department would fumble the ball again.

2022 Football Season

Quite a few. I quit counting missed tackles at about 15 and Weber had only run 9-10 plays
