The focus on age and upperclassmen is nonsense. There’s so much more that goes into a player, and their development. Verheoff had an off game against Duluth. He responded with three solid performances. All of these guys will come back bigger and better.

Or even the systems they play.
I don’t think he’d put up those numbers here. I’d say he’d be in the 20’s for points if he stayed.
I do remeber him hitting iron 9-10 times his freshman season and another 6-7 his sophomore season...he was a little snakebit for sure...defensively, he was usually disinterested

Luckily, they don’t post on here though 🙄
Well, if I was a moderator there are a couple on here that I would like to relegate to the All Things Fighting Sioux FB page.
Unless you are referring to me?

Whatever happens, please don't let Michigan win. This state will be insufferable if Michigan wins the NCAA basketball and Hockey championships... ugh.
Win or lose, Michigan fans will be insufferable...it's tradition

Potulny, Miller, Larson all with HC experience at NCAA...
....toss in Laylin, Cullen....keep Gordon and Martin. Not even close IMO.
I can respect that but I would take Oliver and Herter over any of those.

Herter, Oliver, Winter, and Ben Simon have all interviewed.
Argueably a better pool of candidates than Minnesota had overall.

Remember when Scheels Arena hosted I believe their first ever regional and St Cloud played AIC. SCSU had a bunch of speedsters on that team and on paper should have won fairly easily. The ice conditions negated that speed and AIC won a very boring game. I thought for sure after that debacle Scheels would never host one again it was that bad
Was at that game. Felt bad for SCSU as that team was loaded and the ice conditions were as bad as I have seen without a game just being postponed

unfortunately plywood is now the same price per square foot as imported italian marble was when you guys built the ralph.
Also, someone mentioned you can't host in your home barn, but I believe that rule only counts if it's on campus. Technically, ours is off campus (less than a mile) and so i'd imaging we could host a regional there.
I don't think that loophole would work....but if no one else puts in a competing bid then you can. UND has hosted at the Ralph before and I believe Notre Dame may have hosted once as well.

Met a girl at a Colorado College house party in 2005 that legitimately asked me if we had electricity in North Dakota.
My dad was at meetings in Chciago in mid 90's and a lady asked him how he got to Chicago.
Covered Wagon to Minneapolis and the train from there.....she nodded.

I don't remember the schedule/time of the regional finals being TBD at the time the bracket is announced. Is that a new thing this year?
Have to wait and see if Penn State advances. ESPN wants to feature Mckenna

Funny hearing them say it is a home game for us in a rink we have never stepped foot in.

After reading the geniuses from the East on Twitter not being able to understand why the whole tournament isn't scheduled around what is best for #14 UConn, I have come around to their way of thinking and have worked up new brackets for the NCAA.
1-Michigan vs. 13- Mankato
4-WMU vs. 5-Denver
2-UND vs. 12- Wisconsin
3- Sparty vs. 8-UMD
6-Dartmouth vs. 23-Bentley
10-Quinnipiac vs. 14-UConn
7-Providence vs. 11-Cornell
9-Penn State vs. 19-Merrimack

Here's an idea. Drop both MBB and WBB since they both are dead anyway and restart women's hockey with Brad Frost as coach. We're a hockey school and the women's program was on the rise when it was cut. Am I crazy or what??
They can restart women's hockey any time. They were given the dollar amount needed to make it happen and......crickets

I agree with you, looking at NPI in the 4 seeds Mankato and UConn are the closest
I agree because the other two 4 seeds are #19 and #23

Well, I wanted to run it back but figured only rolling with 7, since the other 8 are booking tee times wouldn't be a good idea, here goes nothing.
Last year I was pretty confident in which teams would advance through the playoffs....not so much this year.

Thompson-Buffalo
MacKinnon-Colorado
McDavid-Edmonton
Stutzle-Ottawa
