Moorhead hasn't always dominated South....I know that they won two or three times in a row back a few years....(99-01). That's when South was really good and Moorhead was slumping a little.

Almost everything that I have read goes something like this: Travis Zajac dominated against lesser competition, he was a step ahead of everyone in his league.....almost everyone puts him really late in the first round(not everyone), or early in the second round. The only negatives I'm taking away from him is that some people think that he hasn't played against "real' competition. ****Also, everyone who has saw him play this year said that he was the best player in the BCHL by far****

I was reading the other thread on C.V. giving a verbal to the Sioux and there was some talk about who the better recruit is between Hardwick and Ammerman. My question is, is Zach Jones better than both of them. I've been reading the hockey's future message board and there was talk about the Top 50 05' players in the world. This person's list included Zach Jones, I don't know a lot about him except that he plays on the USNDPT U-18 Team, he would like to play for the Sioux and he's Matt's brother. It looks like the Sioux have a great shot at landing someone who some consider being one of the top 50 05' players in the world. How ridiculous would the 05' freshman D be if just one of the 3 signed with the Sioux!! Lee, Chorney and either Jones, Ammerman and Hardwick!! After reading articles and posts I would rate them as in the order of importance and skill: 1. Jones 2. Ammerman 3. Hardwick Comments?

I listened to an interview last year where Jordan Parise said that he probably wouldn't be on the Sioux if his brother wasn't on the team.

I agree about the Shattuck pipeline.....

The other difference is Blais is getting top 5 recruiting classes every year. The class two years from now will have a lot more talent (Murray, Zajac ect...) than the classes from the past. The class next year (Duncan, Chorney, Lee...) is already looking like it could be one of the best. Also, the Sioux had horrible goaltending in 01' with Kollar and a freshman Brandt. Lammy who is one of the top goalie recruits to come to this school will be a sophomore and should have the top spot all locked up. Basicall, with this years class being so solid up and down and next years recruiting class that's already looking good, I wouldn't worry too much.

I'm going to be really interested to see what Ryan Kiap does next year. He scored 66 points in 60 games(I think) in a league that plays a very defensive style. He could turn into what Chris Porter was this year. The only difference is that Kiap has the numbers coming in and Porter didn't. Top to bottom there will be no better class in college hockey!

That was a nice article on Lamoureux...this might be the first time in a while that UND has one of the top goalies in the nation coming in! Next year's freshman class will be scary with the amount of talent they have! Can't wait to see them play!

Phillippe Lamoureux was named USHL's top goaltender and 1st team selection. Rastislav Spirko was named to the 2nd team..... congrats to both! USHL
