  1. Agreed on all points and I think that may keep him here. With the bolded part, I certainly wouldn't blame him, either. I also think he's a kid who realizes he's pretty darn good and will play a lot in the NHL right away, regardless of when he goes. So, why not spend another year developing? Colorado is going to be awful again next year. Why hurry?
  2. I think he would, for sure, being that Colorado is desperate for talent, but he just seems like a kid who's got a full grasp of the situation. He knows the money will be there whenever he decides to go.
  3. It won't shock me whatsoever to see him go, if he does. I just see no reason, other than monetary, for him to go. But, he knows he can make money in the NHL and that isn't going away if he stays one more season. Why not get bigger and more seasoned?
  4. Has nothing about being biased, honestly. I'm thinking from a perspective from what I've seen/read/heard from him in the past 2-3 years. - Hard worker - Super talented - Loves Toews and models his game after him - Tremendous leader - Loves UND Again, he doesn't scream as a kid who's looking for instant financial gratification. Would it surprise me to see a kid that talented and 18 years old take a HUGE amount of money? Absolutely not. I just think he'll stay one more year and that that was his plan all along. We'll see.
  5. He's 18. He's shown this year he's going to have a nice career in the NHL. He's going to get his chance to make a lot of dough. I understand the business aspect and financials, but he just seems like a kid who isn't thinking about an instant payday.
  6. I understand that, for sure, but he'd get a max after next year, too. Wouldn't he have taken the MJ route if he wanted to bolt after one year? Seems a lot easier than going to school. He chose NCAA for a reason and every time I hear him talk, he seems like he adores UND.
  7. Why? I have no understanding why he'd want to go there, right away. And I also have no understanding why Colorado would rush him. Stay one more year, get bigger. They aren't going to magically morph into a good team with one player, regardless how great he is. The Avs are terrible. Every time I hear Jost talk, he seems to have a huge desire to be here and loves playing for UND. I have yet to seen a convincing thing to suggest he's absolutely going. He knows he's going to have a chance to wear a letter and truly lead this team next year. I think he stays.
  8. Agreed. Hoff with Simo and Olson do much for me.
  9. I believe SID is a part of his Asst A.D. role, in his situation. Seems like many don't agree with his political affiliations and his enjoyment of ketchup potato chips lol.
  10. It's always a difficult night when we lose.
  11. Not sorta dumb. Very dumb. Glad we're on the same page haha.
  12. Conspiracy theories and insults. THIS is what SiouxSports is all about lol.
  13. I feel like most of board feels that way. I like the optimism. We've been so dang close over the past few games of scoring a few big goals. I say we break out here. 5-2 UND ... Boeser, Jost, Gersich, Smith, Pogo
  14. Gotcha. Sorry, man. Thought you were talking about the overarching reasoning for the thread. Never meant it as a personal attack at you. Again, I just think it's dumb we are attacking a guy for this.
  15. You're spot on, Biz. My guess is that's exactly why he made the change. We'll never know until we ask him. In the meantime, we (as a collective of SiouxSports) could have avoided insulting the guy, right?
  16. Fair enough. What point am I missing? I just said that if it's an official account, it probably should have that kind of stuff being said. He made the switch, so why is it a problem? The point of the thread, however, was to figure out why this happened and I think that's incredibly silly.
  17. Then unfollow him! See what I'm saying lol? Seems like he made the switch to make it clear the account is his personal Twitter. Dude spends overwhelmingly more time tweeting on UND sports than anything else, so you are getting plenty of that.
  18. Sweet spelling.
  19. 100% agree with all of that. My guess, he realized that his affiliation with UND should be separate, and he made the switch. Seems like an inherently simple answer that did not need a thread that spent two pages ripping on the guy, childishly.
  20. Again, if it's his personal account, he's got every right to say what he wants. No one has any idea if it is or not.
  21. Maybe he changed his account to @UNDSID
  22. Oh, Canada I'm very calm, but wondering why we need a thread. All he has to do is ask the guy. And it would end any and all speculation and childish pot shots at the dude.
  23. Ok. Not a problem. Moving on. So, about you asking him about it.... you should do that. He's a public figure.
  24. Right, but by starting this thread, you created the problem. Anyway, still wondering why you won't just ask him since it's clear you're interested.
  25. Several people are. It sure is a legitimate question. You should ask him. Instead of creating a thread on SiouxSports that's full of speculation.
