  1. I'm slightly surprised by this, but the majority CHN's writers have us going through to St. Paul and only one have 9 have us losing in the first round: https://www.collegehockeynews.com/reports/ncaa/picksRegionals.php
  2. Jeebus, we're out of control. It needs to be Friday
  3. Works for me. Go tell Bubs to yell that to the team
  4. I've thought all season that we match up better against more skilled teams and I think the record has shown that. I'm confident we can do it. Stay out of the box. Yes, yes, yes. It's a must.
  5. I didn't say they were bad, I said they weren't great, which I think is fair. We can score like they can, too. I don't see any reason we can't have a little confidence in our team.
  6. LOL ok. You didn't watch him play, apparently. All good, though. It's an irrelevant conversation, honestly.
  7. That would be quite a letdown if we were expected to score 27 goals and didn't win lol.
  8. Don't you DARE bring in xG
  9. Why? Michigan isn't great defensively. I could certainly see a 6-2 UND boat race
  10. Lol much like his combined -1 from his two years at UND didn't sound too bad, right? Yes, Johnson was a dumpster fire in the several games I watched him.
  11. No, Johnson didn't do well at OSU. He is still an absolute dumpster fire defensively.
  12. Totally agree with all of this. The bolded part was exactly why I wanted to avoid Sioux Falls with RIT and Omaha in that bracket. I think we match up well against all three teams in our region
  13. Down 4-1 to DU in Magness and coming back to win 7-5 was digging pretty deep.
  14. Did it against Miami. Did it, in large part against Western. Not much the other games down the stretch. The sweep against DU when we held them to 2 goals each night when they hadn't been held under three all season was my favorite weekend. I saw it in stretches on Friday against Omaha, but it seemed like every time we lost a puck battle, it was in the back of the net. So frustrating. Obviously they feel the same way about it.
  15. Disagree with the first bolded. 1 team wins a title each season. Are you willing to propose a reason as to why it happens or why you feel that way that it happens more often to some (I'm assuming you mean to UND). I agree with you that I think we've played worse defensively over the past month or so. I'm also confident that they will get back to that level on Friday. They were last there in the first round of the NCHC playoffs against Miami. It's not like it's been forever. My overall point to this run of conversation, it's not a lack of motivation. It's all about getting to our game and getting it done. The players do this. There's no doubt that they know what to do and how to do it. Just need to execute. And if it doesn't happen, blaming Bubs makes no sense to me. He's made adjustments. He did it in game against Omaha by bringing Johannes to the top line and you saw they play better in the third.
  16. I watch this when I'm having a bad day:
  17. Nope. It was because they weren't motivated!
  18. Yeah, that's dumb logic. But, I understand your game. All good, dude.
  19. Felt like this kid was gonna be a star in his freshman year. I'm not upset he's gone, but he never really turned into the threat I thought he would.
  20. Question for you... was Minnesota not motivated when they lost to Quinny in OT last year? Was Miami not motivated when BU came back late from down two and won in OT in 2009? Was UND not motivated when we lost to Michigan in St. Paul in 2011?
  21. Do we struggle the same way every year? I already addressed this. We haven't won a title since 2016. I get that. I'm saying the reason is not some mythical belief that the boys have to have that is blessed upon them by Bubs. The boys have the motivation. We've lost for one reason... It's hockey. It's a bounce game in a one-and-done scenario. Us losing in 5OTs to Duluth is not an indication of a lack of motivation. Losing to BU in OT on a play they literally made a rule about the next season is not an indication of a lack of motivation. Losing to Notre Dame, again in OT, is not an indication of a lack of motivation.... it's just frickin' hockey.
