  1. Yes, I do know exactly what is going on -- people don't like the nickname/logo and are not supporting it. They are all speaking their individual opinions. You don't like that, but that doesn't matter. The team, as an entity, hasn't done this one time. Regardless of how you feel about that, that's what is happening.
  2. Being prodded by the hockey program to not support the Hawks name/logo? Are you saying that the team -- as an entity -- is coming out and telling people not to call the team Fighting Hawks? I've not seen that one time. Players, coaches, alumni have every right to support or not support the logo/name. I've seen many current players wearing Hawks gear.
  3. I can see how my response would be seen as prodding, but it really isn't. I just don't understand how the act of the tweet and the "like" can embarrass someone. I legitimately feel sorry that that bothers you. You ask the question about him accepting the fact that we are the UND Fighting Hawks like we don't realize it's the actual name. We just don't like it. I'm not stupid. It's not hard to accept. But, the problem in lies that you and many others chastise the people who don't like the Hawks name/logo and think we are dumb or can't handle reality. We just don't like it. Simple as that. Simply put... I fully comprehend that the FH nickname is a real thing as do ALL of the other people who feel the same way as I. However, I don't like it and I won't support it. I'll buy UND gear without the nickname and logo to games. What's the point in making enemies over this?
  4. Alright, man. I'm sorry that this bothers you that much. That sucks.
  5. Thank you for being you, Cratter I agree 100%!
  6. You get embarrassed by a tweet and by someone else liking said tweet?
  7. I think this opinion may change when you see it in person. Seeing the difference in the replay boards itself is quite the sight.
  8. He absolutely should. I'll go: Colton (C), Smith (A), Senden (A), Kierstad (A)
  9. I am too haha. In my defense, I said "think"
  10. Younger hahaha
  11. Sounds like Singleton really wants to be here. Hope that continues.
  12. Gross. Stop lol.
  13. This kid definitely seems like he could be worth the gamble.
  14. Perunovich, Anderson and Shepard were the only ones I REALLY wanted to go. Don't get me wrong, I wish they all left, but those three are the most to fear, IMO. So, two out of three would be cool by me
  15. That's fair. Peaked shouldn't be the word, for sure. Leveled off, currently. I think he'll progress again. So, right now, he's progressed, but not to the first/second round level which we thought he was right away. I don't think leveled off indicates he's done progressing, just that he's no longer got a rocket up his rear end.
  16. This is precisely how I feel. He's supposed to be a Top 6 player. Why have him come in if he's not ready to be that? Give him one more year of development and see if he'll be ready next year.
  17. Totally fair, man. And just because I'm tempering expectations on Rizzo doesn't mean I'm not excited about him. He's a very good player and will be a contributor during his career. Just seems like he may not be the "blue chippa" that we may have thought right away. So be it.
  18. You can do what you want, man. I'm telling you what I'm going to do. I said, it seems like we should... If you want to continue to ignore things like rankings and scouting, by all means, go for it. I was absolutely high on Rizzo. No question about it. Now, it seems like he's peaked, for the moment. So, I've tempered my expectations on HIM and him alone because his initial reports were very, very high. I don't understand how this is a reflection on the pipeline as a whole. If you don't want to be excited about our pipeline, that's cool. Enjoy that.
  19. We can still and will, IMO, have a top 3, or top recruiting class for the next three or four years with the classes as a whole. I've been commenting recently on Rizzo specifically and that people may want to temper expectations on him and him alone. Our overall expectations, from what I've seen, should be really high and we should feel good about our team moving forward. Specifically on Rizzo, I think we should pump the brakes on how immediate his impact will be. Capisce?
  20. So, I'm tempering expectations on ONE player. But, that speaks for the entire pipeline. Got it. I can't eye roll any harder.
  21. Yup. 100% agreed. I definitely am still excited about Rizzo.
  22. I won't say specifically, but I'm very confident who I've been told by and who that person knows. Take it for what it's worth. I'm just afraid to hear down the road some self-fulfilling prophecy. Rizzo will come in, not be the second round type player that people initially thought he'd be and boom, Bubbs can't develop lol. I'm tempering my expectations.
  23. Of course they don't know, but they get paid to make projections.
