Story is getting its run all over the media! Saw/listened to a bit today on the Golic & Wingo show on ESPN radio this morning after hearing something about it on KFAN yesterday. Face time, bay bay.

Kid was a stud all weekend and has been all year. He's really becoming something special, back there.

I think he will be a stud and I'd borderline put him in the "top tier", but I was speaking more in general, anyway.

Only time I ever notice him is when he does something well. Exactly what I want from a freshman defenseman.

I agree that the influx of talent is the biggest thing, but also that our older guys have taken the next step to be difference makers. However, I don't think we've stopped recruiting top flight players. Our guys are in on ever top tier recruit, but for whatever reason, we haven't gotten them on the forward side of it. I'll put our D recruits up against any group in the country for the next 3 years, though.

Some very important players have made a very large step -- Guchi, Adams, Mash, Bowen, Weatherby, most noticably. An influx of playmakers, ala Pinto, Michaud and Blaisdell to some extent, is the next biggest difference.

The power play is light years ahead. Having guys hit the net is a big deal, of course, but the difference in confidence in that unit is massive.

I thought the first was very even and we played well and controlled much of the second. DU took it to us for much of the third with Scheel being a stud. Last five of the third and both OTs, I think UND played well. Glad to see us get the extra point. Good stuff. We stuck right with them and makes me feel good about this team. Big, big game tonight. Lots of confidence if we walk out if Magness with 5 points. 3-2 good guys in Green. Pinto... Goodness, this kid is due. Thought he really played well last night. He gets two tonight. Adams with the other.
