Kierstad, JBD, Sanderson, Kleven, Frisch, Moore are all going to play in the NHL, I'd say. The first five will play for a very long time, too.

Hmmm... Tucker and Duey, for sure. Comparing 2016 to 2021 in terms of college players, I think 2016 wins out, but overall, I'd bet 2021 has more NHL games played. Elites: Tucker, LaDue, Stecher -- Sanderson, JBD, Kierstad Solid in 2016, some became/will become studs: Gage, Wolanin -- Kleven, Frisch 5th/6th spot: Shaw, Thompson -- Bast/Moore/Rieger This is close, and time will ultimately tell, but I think Moore is borderline better than Bast and could definitely be playing come tourney time. I'd take 2016 right now, but once all of them cycle through into the pros, I think this could end up being the best d-corps in UND history.

Kierstad is having a great year, but I'm gonna take Sanderson. Crazy to think about an 18 year-old being the best defenseman on the No. 1/2 team in the country, but I just have nothing bad to say about the kid, ever.

I see no reason why we don't win tomorrow if we play anything like we did defensively in the second and third. Scheeler is so confident right now and it's likely in part because of how good he knows we play in front of him. It's impressive. Awesome team defense.

Again, we showed we are a dominant team 5 on 5, no matter who we play. Once we stopped taking penalties in the third period, Denver didn't get a sniff. Scheel is an absolute star right now and I hope he's back in tomorrow. Regardless of the opinions on the calls, we need to figure out a way to stay out of the box. Too many good PPs in our league and in the country to keep giving up 6 power plays. We have to fix it. PK has been wonderful, but we're playing with fire. Loved Juddy tonight. Becoming an absolute horse. Pinto is the best player in the NCHC and showed it again, tonight. Lastly, goodness, Jake Sanderson is incredible. Felt a lot more offensively minded tonight and I loved seeing that. If he stays one more year and I have a hunch he will, he's gonna have a massive point-producing season. That play where he went coast-to-coast just before Jasper's goal, beating at least three guys through neutral into the zone and then ringing a wicked-quick-released wrister off the pipe made me laugh out loud. May be the best pure player I've seen as a freshy since Toews. So skilled. So smart. Great win. HUGE help from Miami and Western tonight. Step on DU's throat tomorrow and make them have to win three games in a row on our ice to make the tourney.
