As it should be. Fortunately, this team has banked some very good pairwise points. They have to keep winning, obviously, since loses against pairwise-poor teams are costly.
I'm of the opinion they should coast from here on out, they have enough talent to win on talent alone. Probably don't even need to dress a goalie.

In June, didn't most fans here predict that UND would be ranked #2 after the toughest part of the schedule?
That's a good one burd

Sure nice to see Ludvig towards the top of active goalies with a .925 save %. Another player, granted through only 4 games, is Mr Jakob Hellsten sitting at .939 for UNH.

I wonder if they could have picked a better spot for the post-game interviews. I didn't realize Amsoil has a dungeon.
Thought the same thing, inhaling some nice insulation under the bleachers. What a beautiful arena.

When everyone around you is going to a certain level, the team has told you the entire year what the plan is…and then the plan changes at the 12th hr…sometimes you have to take a hard look at what’s going on. Kid wanted to play college puck and he chose to do so. Zero fault whatsoever on the kid. Doesn’t change my thoughts on the program or coaching staff as a whole…just a bad situation all around.
Interesting info I just heard from an advisor…Sandy has never went back on his word, or pulled an offer. Pretty crazy if true. He told me the worst offenders and it’s interesting to say the least. I can’t corroborate this info, just what I heard from one guy.
You can't just hang this out there without telling us who, come on! If I had to guess I'd start with Michigan, Wisconsin, BU, & Minnesota. Possibly even us?

This is the current record for a random college hockey team as presented on USCHO.com. This is just ridiculous. You shouldn't need more than two dashes.
Wins, losses, ties. Please.

I guess I was the one spreading Fake news. I totally missed that this was changed last year.
Doesn't change the fact it was not a split.
Indeed you were, and I never never said it was so you seem to be arguing yourself presently.
I'm not as concerned about the nuance on if it's a split or 45% of a split as I am with how the team is playing, which I think is pretty damn good(especially for early November). If you want everyone to feel 5% more disappointed because it wasn't a full split, you're going to be fully disappointed. There are still fans going nuts for non-conference shootout wins.
In fact, if you want to turn that mirror back at yourself all splits aren't even created equal so why are they called a split?! A regulation win and loss @ BU is worth much more than a regulation win and loss at home vs Miami.

I'm going to say the quiet parts here:
1. He got beat high because we were shooting from the perimeter; and
2. None of those rebounds were pounded in because we were lacking net-front presence. We need to establish "garbage collection" in front. We started last season with the same issue. Someone needs to decide to play in bloody nose alley.
I wouldn’t say Perron and gabers goals were from the perimeter. He got beat clean over the shoulder and wasn’t particularly close to getting a piece.

I thought Minnesota exposed some of Duluth's weaknesses defensively. Took a great goaltending performance to get the tie at home on Saturday night for the dogs.
Feels like a split, but we could sweep for old time's sake......
Not unprecedented to sweep in Duluth. Heck, I've been to a couple UND sweep weekends in the past 6-7 years. My favorite being when Duluth didn't score one freaking goal all weekend. A lot of sad puppies that weekend.

About half their total goals have come on the PP(14 of 29). Keep the game 5 on 5 and we’ll be fine

I don't think Caron is likely to steal any games, Close will be in the Richter hunt and maybe Hobey. Persson will be too if he keeps playing like he has so far.
Caron looked shaky to me, left a ton of rebounds and got beat high quite a bit

We? Lol. don’t group all of us into the doom and gloom group on this board.
I don't think siouxforce said or meant every single poster but they're absolutely right that this board was a big freakin pity party.

Well .67 or whatever- this was a win! On the road. Vs a good pairwise opponent. Never lost lead in the game. Growth as a team. Confidence in each other and coaches. Against poor refs.
This was a mega success all in all..67 for an OT win x 1.2 for a road win = .804 of a win + a Quality Win Bonus for any team beaten in the top 20 of the RPI(assuming BU is in this at EOY). In other words, no one truly knows how much of a win this is until the regular season ends.

Good result for a good effort. Still coughing up the puck in our own zone too much, but the support to move the puck up ice was solid tonight.
BU is as-advertised. Highly skilled upfront, but they aren't exactly great defensively. Their GT had a big weekend.
Until the very last play, I was thinking "Blake has sure been quiet".
Did you miss his gorgeous pass to O Mac??

UND has to play well enough to overcome bad officiating tonight, just have to expect it and stay disciplined.

And we benefited big time getting guys like J Schmaltz, N Schmaltz, and Boeser to come to UND as a result of his incompetence.

I get the feeling Hunter was on the receiving end throughout the game and gave some back with that huge goal

A cut carotid doesn't give you much time.
If I remember right with the micalachuck incident, one of the trainers was a Vietnam medic or something and reached in and pinched off the artery. Such a terrible tragedy, thoughts are with Adam Johnson’s family friends and everyone at that arena. I can’t imagine being in attendance for that.

Yes, me too. If I didn't know, I'd think its still Mike Hastings behind the bench.
Credit to MSU Athletic Director for getting a coach who can use the existing talent. Will be interestin gto see how they evolve as he gets more chance to recruit players.
Helps that they’re identical twins

Hell learn to dial back the dangle a little against the better teams. BU on the road will be a great test for these guys.
October has been a hell of a test, love how battle tested they’ll be before they even hit nchc play

Ran into an nchc official that I grew up with and his brother at southgate. His brother said he’s probably tougher on UND because he’s from here. FWIW he also said UND was onside in 2017 vs BU in the regional
Miami @ UND - Friday Gameday - Ludvig's Revenge Rd. 1!

His parents will be at the games next weekend as well. Heard that on TH’s pregame with Berry. They’re sticking around all week which makes sense I suppose if they’re coming all the way from Sweden.
