Is it just me or is that story insanely hard to follow? It was a nice story but I just couldn't follow Don's writing at all.

I don't recall WMU diving from what I remember. I thought Denver was especially bad this weekend though, nearly approaching Gopher territory.

Also, the fact that it was blindsided makes me think he had no idea it was coming.

What if you take out the games where Nick Schmaltz wasn't in the lineup?

Agreed, I really like our powerplay once we get into the zone. It suffered when N. Schmaltz was gone but when he's in, I think we are scary good. His abililty to shoot or no-look dish the puck to his brother for a one-timer is so fun to watch.

Just saw the replay of Caggiula penalty, definitely not a cross check so TH missed that call. Guy instead wrapped his stick around Drakes neck and then did 'I'm not holding' hands up move everyone does when they definitely held the guy. Then the reaction of the Pioneer player was hilarious after Caggiulas jab. Grabs his helmet so the ref knows where it hurts. In my opinion, I like to see a UND team that plays on the edge of physicality and penalties and doesn't let teams clutch and grab them all over the ice. When the refs move that edge to where they see fit, it makes it tough for our team to adjust because that's where we get our advantage from. As far as the coach goes, I'd prefer he stand up for our guys on the ice because they'll be much more willing to go to battle for him and buy in. Just my 2 cents though.

Well that's the same response verbatim people love to use. I made no indication that you can't be critical of the coach. Just saying we lost 1 game and are still 12-4-3, let's maybe wait to condemn Hakstol's "control" of his players until we get swept Maybe they did play "listless" but it's one game, when it becomes a trend I'll take notice.

Haha the classic 'no cricism of hak allowed on here' victim card. I love it! It's like we're dancing! Seriously though, I'm critical of Hak plenty but it's not my default response to one loss on the road to a good team. Why not focus on the pucks in prime scoring areas that we couldnt bury? And with all due respect, if you were the coach I'd be scared for our programs future.

Drakes punch was a retaliation to a cross check to his face, at least according to Hennesy. Hak loses control of his players? Come on, is this going to spiral into a 'what has Hak done for me lately?' discussion. We can never lose because we have 2 very key guys out and just didn't have our best game and got beat. It always has to come back to the coach and how he didn't take a timeout and give a 'go get one for the gipper' speech.

Sometimes I think that's easier said than done. A guy cross checks you in the face, it'd be tough to not react...

Big game tonight, let's get a convincing win to go into the break with! I'd be pretty content with 13-4-2 at xmas break.

The frontier flight is a really good deal direct from Denver to Fargo. I have some buddies flying in to Fargo in February for the DU series and it's $200 roundtrip.

I wouldn't say I'm "judging" his character as a person(for all I know he's a great kid), but given the information we have at this present time I wouldn't want him on our team. Wisconsin starts 1-10-1 and the only explanation we hear is that "he's not having any fun". Also, he plans to go back to juniors and re-join a different D1 college hockey team. If he's going through something serious in his personal life I feel for him, but why would he be looking to join another college hockey team after going back to juniors if that's the case? His decision has so many red flags that his seemingly limited upside wouldn't be worth it to me. Then again, this all my personal opinion and I don't get a say in the matter.

Yup, exactly my reasons. I don't want a player who is a flight risk when things get tough.

I just remember watching the Lapoint replay and it was awful, leg broke in multiple places I believe. I'm no doctor, but I'd be blown away if thats a 6 week injury.
