It would be interesting to see a breakdown of lines played, not just an ice time report, but a breakdown of who was out an when and for how long? not sure what would be gained by viewing but it would help with my curiosity fetish.
with my shaky review it looks like Nick passed while the puck was on the blue line, the pass went roughly 12' down the blue line and curled into the Miami zone which is amazing all on its own. I am attempting a screen grab that shows the moment the puck enters and Nick is not dragging a toe. I will assume the officials had better tools and way better skills but it looked really close
I like hard nosed hockey, but when the refs and regulating body punish that type of play to the point of detriment to the program it would be selfish of me not to recognize the ongoing change. Do you only watch hockey from the 70s?
