  1. Ever wonder if UND would still have a womens program if the twins would have stayed in MSP and not brought the high paid coach here?
  2. My thoughts are that it turned out to be a good situation for her.
  3. Guch gone, hit to the head
  4. Ryan Poehling took a tough spill into the boards, not back on the bench yet, looked nasty, the hit that is, the performance on the ice was over the top 1-1
  5. I didn't really see it that way.... slow, poor passes, no danglers making space, players not finding space...
  6. I think the season for this thread was not quite over 2 years ago, but I only vaguely understand new math.
  7. Does anyone wonder if B-Rad is contemplating keeping Shaw seeing how no word yet? Should he have already made moves?
  8. didn't PK have a stretch where it struggled?
  9. my thoughts exactly
  10. Wasn't Jacks there before Berry? not sure why he escapes scrutiny, I'm sure he is a great guy and cherished alumni, was he the forwards coach?
  11. true enough, but has recruiting really gone off the rails, or was it a mis-step? seems like incoming has a good pedigree... I humbly suggest that player development needs more scrutiny than incoming, although recruiting is bound to suffer if the program slides downhill. Could it be that B-Rad doesn't connect with the youth like he used to? Not that I have any weight in the issue but a younger coach may be the right shot in the arm, high hopes with Smaby...
  12. TBH, sometimes thier hustle was awesome, results not so much... I have more issue with the jekyl/hyde phenomenon and player development before other issues....
  13. Maybe the time for something new is here, but something new isn't exactly a coaching change per se..... a triumvirate Hak-Berry-Jackson #makesiouxgreatagain
  14. If Smith was the only returner from this class I wouldn't bat an eye, next being Bowen...
  15. When Gino resigned, was it at the end of his contract?
  16. Can he play on the club team to get some game action?
  17. Is there a recent bracketology thing a ma jig?
  18. I agree 1000%. I don't recall but is there a first rounder that has stayed 4 years? Finley maybe?
  19. I am optimistic for next year, not as optimistic as usual but hope for the best. I think you will always lose more players than average after winning a natty, players are a bit more inclined to move on to the next goal in their own timeline, right or wrong. Much has been said over years of people leaving early (Gregoire, Hextall, etc) that in hindsight looked to be a poor choice, but the choice is theirs to make, I won't hold it against them but I am overly forgiving of people living their own lives for themselves. It sucked to have JT Miller do what he did, same with Wilkie, and I forget the mid year transfer, but I like to think I am mature enough to not disparage people for their choices, the whole glass houses and all.
  20. but hasn't this been the same scenario every year, a first rounder is rare for 3 years, Jost was the only first rounder to leave after 1 year since Belfour... the turnover is expected, planned for, and not a big problem in the past. Seems like bringing it up in todays discussion is like throwing something against the wall to see if it sticks.
  21. if that blows your shorts up, maybe drive by the school for the blind, honking your horn and yelling run!
  22. I understand that, forced into that position when some players didn't work out... it's not like you are picking up a load of bricks at Menards and you grabbed the wrong one, as much as everyone would love the coach and staff of their favorite team to be able to discern the future, it is an art, a difficult art to project the abilities.. ie Sheppard....
  23. nope, but that ship has sailed
