Good team effort tonight, really set the tone and played Fighting Sioux hockey from the 1st faceoff. Really thought Rowney, Parks, and Rodwell stepped up and controlled the play when they were on the ice. Everyone stepped up and played their roles well, wonder if any further punishment for Basaraba and Brown could be possible?

Not a bad day for the UND coaching staff.
I kinda expected the recruiting to pick up this week a little, with no game this week its a good opportunity for Sioux coaches to get out and recruit.

Blaiser gets Jake Randolph. Had offers from UND SCSU Mankato UMD
Saw that on twitter his teamate Trevor Olson tweeted it and was asked by someone if he was next he said no his teamate Dom Tominato should be committing shortly, also saw Hermantown's Jared Thomas committed to Duluth. Wish we woulda got Randolph but knew it'd be hard with the whole dad issue, good get for Omaha.
-
Solid all around win, got what we had to have, hopefully get a couple guys healthy and get ready for Wisconsin.
-
Don't know how his dad feels about Bemidji St. but I know he visited there during the Minnesota series last season

Anyone hear anything about recruitment of Dan Molenar, I know Sioux were looking at him last year before injury. Couple guys to watch in the Minnetonka and Duluth East game on now Max Coatta from Tonka and Jake Randolph from East.
-
Wait aren't the Sioux supposed to be the dirty team? Certainly didn't look that way out there Minny throws 3 or 4 checks from behind. Jake Hansen is a little pansie jump off the bench slash Blood from behind then run away and hide...typical gopher. Sioux got a needed split and need to come with intensity and ready to play 60 minutes or more each night and get 4 points out of St. Cloud.

Saw this kid play a game as a freshman and have been hoping we could land hime ever since. Good player with a lot of skill and good ability to finish, plays on one of the top lines in the state with a future gopher.max Coatta anyone have any thoughts on this kid

Nelson- had a lot of chances last night, he'll bury one tonight!
-
Looks very physical with some good hands and willing to go to the tough areas on the ice.
-
Very hard game to watch no jump and no fire from the team and a pretty uneventful game all the way around. The Sioux need to start playing a little more desperate and beating teams with hardwork because it looks like there might be a lot of games this year where the Sioux aren't the most talented team on the ice

BlackHeart, Petey23, and SiouxScore, why are you attacking me?
Haha Sorry about that I was scrolling down and it got clicked and I couldn't take it back., not trying to attack you just happened by accident.

Well maybe I am seeing Rodwell's potential before others, after all I did say Fratten was going to be a Hobey candidate before last season.
I'll simply say this about Rodwell, From the group of returning forwards he is my pick for the biggest suprise next year. (with an honorable mention going to Lammy)
I expect big things out of both Rodwell and Nelson next year. I think having a offseason in the weightroom and a year of college hockey under their belts will really help them. I expect both to have breakout years.

My Guess at a lineup for next year
Grimaldi Knight Kristo
Miller Nelson Rodwell
Dickin Rowney O'Donnell
St.Clair Lamoureux MacMillan
Di Puma Parks Hill
Blood Forbort
MacWilliam Simpson
Mattson Gleason
Panzarella Senkbeil
Dell
Eidsness

I don't know for sure, but I believe Student athletes have academic progress reports that have to be filled out by instructors. I don't see how an athlete such as Kristo could get away with not going to class and turning in a progress report that is sufficient. I'd almost bet my life he wouldn't be playing if he wasn't attending class.
I would guess there are academic progress reports for student athletes. I have played college football at two smaller schools and we had to do academic progress reports once a month so I would guess athletes would have to do them at UND.

All of them will be missed, they each brought something different to the team and brought it to the rink every night.

I really agree with you in both cases and think nothing will be done with either of them, but Brown did seem to act with a little more intent with the hit on Blood.
