  1. Crash the net!! and Score!!

YES! Crash the net very hard and make sure Chevrie knows there gonna be around the net all night and capatilize on the scoring chances. If the Sioux can score first and early it could be a very big confidence booster and would allow the crowd to get into it right away.

  2. 54 PIM in 18 games!!! That is pretty high for a forward. I wonder if its a temper issue or an artifact of his focus on offense first......

There have been a few players to come out of DL and have decent WCHA careers, but I don't know of any recently that have received offers straight out of HS, most had to play in juniors for a bit.

I've played against the kid and he does have problems controling himself, he is one of those players that can't take a hit without throwing a slash back which is a major reason for his penalty minutes.. He likes to talk a lot on the ice and thinks he should get all the calls and isn't afraid to let the refs know that. I know that Mankato has been looking at him for a while now as well. If this kid can learn not to retaliate to everything and improve on the mental aspect of the game he could be a good player.

  3. You're probably thinking of this kid: http://www.mnhockeyhub.com/roster_player/show/166503

He currently leads the state in scoring, but I have no clue on his potential. It could be similar to Joey Benik from St. Francis (St. Cloud comitt), in which the kid has talent but his stats are inflated due to the competition. But this is all a guess, I really don't have a clue on the potential here.

He is a tall lanky kid with good hands, speed, and natural goal scoring ability. His team plays a rather weak schedule and I've heard he's not all that committed to the defensive side of the game. I would say he is very similar to someone like a Benik.

  4. Does anyone know if the Sioux are looking at Jake Useldinger from EGF?

I would doubt it although he is a very good and skilled player, but really don't know. I think he will have to play a couple of years of juniors, but would be a nice fit for someone like Bemidji State.

  5. is the warroad goalie storey wcha material? i thought i read during brads game chat the sioux were looking at him as well but maybe that person was referring to gothberg? the person was talking about a northern goalie during the chat? thanks

No, he is the weakness of the Warroad team, I would also guess they probably ment Gothberg.

  6. any word on jason clark from shattuck? also hebel from warroad and shane omdahl from roseau leading state in scoring. thanks for any breakdowns or styles on these guys.

Omdahl is a pretty good player with good hands and some size, he isn't afraid to throw a hit and works in the corners. I'm not sold on Hebel he has size, but doesn't seem like he works too hard and I think most of his production is due to playing on a line with Nelson.

  7. any word on Knochenmus from roseau and his style he plays? thx...see he has hatricks in 3 straight games. impressive

Knochemus is a smaller, quicker player. He has natural goal scoring ability and works very hard. Although he doesn't have much size he will still go in the corners and battle and is pretty strong for his size.

  8. Shane Omdahl had a big night last night. After Brock Nelson he is the next best player in this area!

Adam Knochemus is another good area player for Roseau and had 2 goals against future Sioux goalie Zane Gothberg in a 6-3 Roseau win over Thief River Falls.
