The first four games typically get 1-2 million viewers, even though they are on a network like TruTV that isn't super common in households across the USA. The FCS title game typically gets 750K to 1 million views. NCAA hockey final gets around 400K to 700K. These numbers are all available through some simple searches. Opposing fans never made up more than 500-1000 of the 10,000 plus that used to attend gopher hockey games. I attended enough to know. If anything, it's the exact opposite of what you wrote. Gopher fans loved seeing the UNDs, UMDs, SCSUs, etc. and showed up in droves to cheer against these rivals. That building used to rock when they scored against UND, their true fiercest rival.

Good for CC. Most definitely cheering for them.

The part about no money coming in was an actual statement I heard. Not sure if they knew about how the state funding component of running a university works.

I heard at the local watering hole that when we had the fighting sioux nickname, the money was rolling in from donors at such a high level, that state funding wasn't even needed for UND. Now that they have that little postal dove logo, nobody is donating, it's no wonder they are having money issues. #SIOUXFOREVER!

I was at that game. Couldn't believe the amount of whining that guy got away with.
