  1. Agreed. Also done. Hopefully the Ralph stays state of the art for players and fans alike.
  2. How does that apply to the Ralph or hockey?
  3. Students aren't even showing up for UND games. Another section will likely be taken from them this offseason per reports by Schlossman. GF doesn't have the population to support another team. Attendance would be similar to womens hockey or the U18 games.
  4. Not relevant. We are an institution of higher learning with athletic teams that compete at the Division I level. Not sure how UND Fighting Hawks ties into an indian reservation near Devils Lake, ND.
  5. The Fighting Sioux religion, well said. It's pretty embarrassing folks. "You are in Fighting Sioux Country" huge flag is still up at the Ralph, even though that hasn't been our name for many years. The Sioux logos on the outside of the Ralph are starting to fade. "Sioux Forever" chants, fans wearing Hawks gear are treated like Gopher fans at the Ralph. My solution: I have avoided going to games. It's just not fun anymore. Jody H., Brad Berry, et al. need to take a long hard look at things this off season.
  6. A rebuttal to the Mike Jacobs piece: https://www.sayanythingblog.com/entry/womens-hockey-program-und-died-supporting/ If anything ever gets reinstated at UND, it should be something that actually makes a difference in life, not a sport. Think music therapy; I have seen firsthand what that can do for a patient in the hospital. So many people lost their jobs at UND, I'm sick and tired of women's hockey coming up over and over.
  7. Troy Terry is very very good.
  8. This just in: Photo of Berry (right) meeting with Oxbow (left) after the game. "They focused all their hate on you and played a great game. It couldn't have gone any better!" Of note: Berry declined dinner at Sizzler, but told Oxbow to keep an eye out for future texts.
  9. This team doesn't have that IT factor. Very hard to watch. Can they turn it around this season????
  10. If they sweep this weekend, he will be grasping at Windsor Coke straws.
  11. Most folks would probably like a president that isn't interested in another university. (money and better weather talk though)
  12. If not selected, I wonder what his "cred" will be on the UND campus? Gotta think he will continue looking for greener pastures.
  13. Fun fact: Slovenia had the same odds to win gold as South Korea. Very bad loss.
  14. I believe he was on the coaching staff for UND womens hockey.
  15. I think this could be a thread split, starting with Cratter's post from Rand.
  16. You'd think Rand lives in Florida instead of the apparent balmy heaven that is the Twin Cities. This is actually a very common sentiment from Twin Cities folks. They truly believe they are special, and different from all the "outstate" MN people, and my god, don't even get them going on the "Dakotas" or the Iowa and Wisconsin people. This isn't a weather only thing either, they believe they are no different than Chicago, NYC, LA, etc. Nationally, the Twin Cities are seen as flyover country, Prince's home, and an ice cold place where people have funny accents and don't lock their doors. If you watched/read national media coverage during the week of the Super Bowl, this was very evident.
  17. In the last 25 games, UND has 9 regulation wins. That is unacceptable.
  18. We need more folks to be like you. Well done. *Disclaimer: I did NOT take these tickets. Text this fine individual.
  19. https://www.downtownrochestermn.com/events/tof Rochester does a great job with this every Thursday in the summer.
  20. This thread is mostly satire, but seriously, Foles was amazing since Wentz went out. He has a Super Bowl win, MVP, and a HUGE contract waiting for him. I'd assume Wentz will be okay and have a pretty decent career, but Foles will forever be the man who brought Philly it's first title.
